The wait is almost over: Stellar Blade, the PS5-exclusive action title from Korean studio Shift Up, is finally coming to PC this June, and it’s impressive. A playable demo is now available on Steam, and early player feedback is extremely positive, especially when it comes to performance!
Max Settings, 4K, and 60 FPS!
Players have tested the game with a 3080 at 4K, max settings, and 60 FPS. The reports show that the demo isn’t “even breaking a sweat.” The verdict? Best PC optimization in years. You can check out the original post here with some in-game screenshots:
The PC version of Stellar Blade isn’t just a straight port. It has been optimized specifically for PC, which is most likely why it’s doing so good. While content remains the exact same between PlayStation 5 and PC, the PC version benefits from a number of visual and technical improvements.
What Is New in the PC Port?
- Ultra-wide support: Native 21:9 and 32:9 resolutions
- Next-gen upscaling and frame generation: NVIDIA DLSS 4, DLAA, Reflex, plus AMD FSR 3 and Fluid Motion Frames
- High-resolution texture pack: Optional 4K texture pack for sharper visuals
- DualSense support: Full compatibility with adaptive triggers and haptic feedback
The demo lets you play through the prologue and the first major mission, as well as some boss fights and cinematic. This means you can really test how your PC is doing depending on the situation. Your save progress also carries over to the full release.
With a really good performance on high-end PC’s and no sign of technical problems, Stellar Blade could very well set a new standard for PC ports in 2025.
