Shift Up CEO and Stellar Blade director Kim Hyung-tae has openly expressed his support for player-created mods, making sure modders feel welcome as the game gets closer to its PC release. In a recent press conference in Yeouido, when asked about his views on mods for Stellar Blade, Kim stated:

First of all, I fully support the phenomenon of players using MODs. In fact, I myself also want to try out some of the more exciting MODs. I look forward to seeing many players create their own MODs and engaging in healthy competition with them to see whose MODs are more attractive. I also hope that more players can get involved in MOD creation.”

Shift Up’s goal is to push forward more player engagement and creativity. The PC version of Stellar Blade is scheduled for release on June 11, 2025, and is expected to also include additional content and optimizations, which should give some additional materials for modders.

While specific details about official mod support have not been revealed, Kim’s comments suggest at least a positive point towards mods, and the guarantee that they will not be canceled right after launch. As the PC launch approaches, players are already customizing their Stellar Blade experience through various mods. You can already find some ready to use on websites such as Nexus Mods.
