Chapter 3 of Titan Quest 2 has quietly appeared on Steam! Titled “Arkadian Plains,” this major content update takes players from the heights of Olympos down into the middle of a new conflict between centaurs and humans. Players noticed the update yesterday on Steam, but there was also an announcement on the official Twitter/X account that came with a new trailer for Chapter 3.
New Enemies to Challenge
The Arkadian Plains are overtaken by new threats. Centaurs are a full new faction with 10 enemy types ranging from standard grunts to high-tier champions. Boarmen also join the fight alongside new wildlife and variations of familiar creatures to change up combat encounters a little bit.
Four bosses are waiting for you as well, including three new enemies and a reworked old favorite. Expect more strategy and careful planning, because these encounters are not for the faint-hearted.
Loot, Gear, and Treasures
The plains are also full of rewards. New armors and weapons are linked to the centaur faction. New charms and over 10 epic items also provide plenty of reason to explore. Quest-specific loot, like the unique “Mother Crab’s Claw” necklace, offers both power and more lore.
On top of that, the game also received some affix improvements, and that means crafting and itemization feel more rewarding now, with new health, armor, and retaliation bonuses for both weapons and gear.
More Quests and World Events
Chapter 3 also adds 6 Fated Quests and 10 World Quests. Completing those will give you even more ways to influence the ongoing war between humans and centaurs. You can fight in gladiator arenas, free oppressed cities, or encounter forgotten mythic villains. These quests add to the story and let your growing demigod character learn more about the world and himself.
New hidden events and secrets throughout the world also make exploration worthwhile, and with 7 new dungeons, there is plenty of challenging content for all the heroes.
The Arkadian Plains
The map is filled with secrets, hand-crafted dungeons, and stories that reward exploration. From the “drought-stricken plains” to the human city of Tegea and the heights of Olympos itself, there is plenty to uncover.
Each area feels distinct, with secrets tucked around every corner, making sure that exploration is just as rewarding as combat.
Patch Notes
On top of the new content, Titan Quest 2 has also received a massive content update patch with a lot of adjustments and changes, such as:
- The maximum player level was increased to 50
- Updated Unreal Engine version 5.7.2 for a better overall performance
- Better controller support for PS4 and DualSense
- UI improvements, teleportation changes, quest pinning, and more were added
- Bug fixes for abilities like Lightning Strikes, Doom, and Rupture
