Now that you played a few hours in Titan Quest 2, you might have been exploring the creeping depths of Fiend’s Hollow. In there you can come across a strange, mysterious door. Interact with it, and it gives you some sort of riddle to solve:
“You imagine yourself lighting a lone brazier. Then a pair of braziers. Then a trio. Then the thoughts fade.”
This is not just some random text. It’s the clue to a hidden puzzle. Here is exactly how to solve it and open the door!
The Brazier Puzzle
As the door tells you, you need to light a few Braziers. Right in front of the door, you can actually directly notice three Braziers standing in line. However, do not light them up directly! First, you need to find the others. You have to light them in a certain order, or it won’t work:
- First: Light a single brazier
- Second: Light a pair of braziers
- Third: Light a trio of braziers
So basically, the trio in front of the door actually comes last. You have to explore the dungeon to find the other two spots. Once this sequence is completed successfully, the mysterious door will open, giving you access to hidden rewards inside. Or well… Something hiding inside, at least.

Where to Find the Braziers
The tricky part is that the braziers are not located in one place, otherwise where is the fun! You will need to explore different sections of Fiend’s Hollow to find each group.
- Step 1: Lone Brazier
- Look for a lonely brazier in the very top section of the Hollow.
- It is not grouped with any others and will be standing on its own.
- Light this one first.
- Step 2: A Pair of Braziers
- Head down right, to a nearby area where you will find two braziers standing together.
- Light both, and make sure you have already done the lone one beforehand.
- Step 3: Trio of Braziers
- Finally, go back near the door to find the spot where three braziers are positioned together.
- The three Braziers and the door are located top-left, right across where the pair of braziers are.
- Light all three in any order, as long as it is after the first two steps.
After lighting all braziers in the correct 1-2-3 order, you will see the door open automatically in front of you, revealing what, or who, is behind it.
If the door does not open, try retracing your steps and double-checking the order.
What Rewards Can You Get
Completing the puzzle will reward you with XP and Embers of Night, but behind the door there is more!
Once you enter the room, you will notice a miner named Mopsus, and he is not really happy you revealed his hidden spot! Mopsus does not really have anything for you outside a ton of complaints, so just leave him alone and go grab the two chests waiting for you!
Those chests have pretty good loot! Both chest have rather decent amount of drops, and usually pretty good ones on top of it. So this puzzle is definitely worth doing!
