Infinity Nikki players already knew housing was coming, but during Gamescom 2025 IGN had a little talk with Luke Shi, marketing manager at Infold Games, and he revealed some additional information. In that interview, we got exclusive new details that make the system far more exciting than expected.
Luke Shi explained how the Version 1.9 update, arriving next month, will finally give Nikki a home of her own, not just as decoration, but as a fully interactive space.

A Floating Island to Call Home
The new housing system is placed on a heart-shaped floating island, designed to give players a sense of warmth, safety, and belonging. You will have a big house in the middle of trees, rivers, and peaceful hillsides. Everything to make it feel like a personal retreat. You can even build multiple houses, transforming the island into your little dream village.
Activities and Gameplay Features
The home is not just for decoration. It is actually full of exciting new content and features:
- Fishing, farming, and planting bring life to the island.
- Construction tools let you design and expand your homestead.
- Ability Fusion: A new mechanic that ties together outfit powers with building features.
- Example: combining Planting + Purifying lets you spread seeds across your garden.
- Floating + Construction allows you to raise homes into the sky for a more magical look.
- Special home-themed outfits are being introduced, with higher-rarity versions teased but not yet fully revealed.
A Social & Creative Experience
Infinity Nikki’s housing also adds a new way to play with your friends:
- Players can visit each other’s islands to explore, get inspiration, or just hang out.
- Templates can be uploaded and imported, making it possible to share your designs with others, or take inspiration from someone else’s house.
Luke Shi emphasized that the goal of housing is to provide players with a true sense of belonging inside Nikki’s world, and at the same time, also letting them express their own creativity in meaningful ways.
With Infinity Nikki 1.9, the game is definitely evolving beyond the dresses and exploration, into something even more cozy! Between farming, crafting, floating houses, and shared content, this might be the update everyone has been waiting for!
