If you thought Verso was just a brooding edgelord with a tragic backstory and impeccable timing, think again. In a hilarious twist that no one saw coming, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s official Twitter/X account has dropped a rare behind-the-scenes gem showing Verso’s motion capture actor, Maxence Cazorla, mid-something. Dancing? Practicing avant-garde stealth moves? Fighting invisible bees? The footage is unclear, but extremely entertaining!
A New Version of Verso
“I thought we’d cut…“
— Maxence Cazorla, Verso’s Motion Capture Actor, betrayed by time and hard drives.
In the now-viral clip, Maxence is caught in a… let’s call it a very professional moment, dancing with enthusiasm and perfect technique. The kind of raw, unfiltered performance that players love to see. What we call, just a Monday on a mocap set.
You can watch the amazing footage here:
According to Maxence himself, he was simply “trying to stay professional between takes“, which we can agree, is peak professionalism. There is nothing better than having fun at your job! Players immediately rallied behind the actor, flooding the comments with memes, applause, and demands to see a “Verso Dance” emote added to the game ASAP.
“I’d pay for a DLC where Verso moves exactly like this,” said one player.
“He’s not glitching, he’s expressing,” added another.
Sandfall Interactive has yet to comment on whether the footage will be considered canon, but we can all agree on one thing: if this is how Verso stays focused, we desperately need a full blooper reel of the cast. Preferably with commentary.
Until then, let’s take a moment to appreciate the real hero of Expedition 33: the man behind the mask, flapping his arms like a majestic, confused bird between dramatic monologues.
