It’s been almost one year since Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 was released, and the developers at Saber Interactive have just revealed what’s coming in their Year 2 Roadmap. Fans can expect to see new Operations, PvP arenas, weapons, and more cosmetics, plus a brand new class.
Anniversary Update
Much like the first year of Space Marine 2, there will be numerous free content updates and cosmetic packs as well. The good news is that all of this new content starts rolling out next week! However, those who want to indulge in all of Year 2’s cosmetic packs will need to purchase a new Season Pass.
Starting next week on September 4th, players can expect to dive into:
- 4 new Operations & a new Siege map
- 3 new Eternal War arenas
- New Stratagems (PvE) and Helbrute Onslaught (PvP) game modes
- New weapons and free unlockable weapon variants for existing weapons
- New enemies and bosses
- The Chaos Armour Pack
Among the listed additions, there are some that we think are worth highlighting. Some of the new weapons players will get their hands on are the Pyreblaster, Pyrecannon, Power Axe, Combi Melta, and the surprising addition of the Xenophase Blade, and more! All perfect weapons to try out against the new Majoris Enemy, The Chaos Spawn.
Those who purchase the Season 2 pass will also get access to both the Black Templars Champion Pack and the Imperial Fists Cosmetic Pack.
Space Marine 2 Roadmap
As for the rest of Year 2, players can expect even more new missions, Stratagems, expansions to the Battle-Barge, and the brand new Techmarine Class. Players can expect another major patch dropping later this year after the anniversary update, with four major patches throughout 2026, with the first one bringing the new Techmarine Class.

Year two will also bring several more cosmetic packs for the Blood Angels, Salamanders, Raven Guard, Iron Hands, plus surprisingly focused around the Raptors and Carcharodons, and a Redacted chapter? Some early reactions say that this Redacted chapter could be the Second or Eleventh lost legions, but that’s highly unlikely. Others speculate that this cosmetic pack could be focused around Chaos chapters, or maybe even some from the Cursed Founding.
So what do you think? Is this enough for you to return to Space Marine 2? Be sure to let us know, and keep an eye on our latest news for more updates.
