Where Winds Meet releases today globally, and it officially supports cross-progression across Steam, Epic Games Store, the official PC launcher, and PlayStation, meaning you can play on multiple platforms and keep the same character, same progress, and same rewards.
Here is a simple breakdown of how to link everything properly.
How to Link Your Accounts
You can link multiple platforms to the same profile, for example, Steam + PSN + Gmail, and freely swap between them. You only need to follow a few simple steps:
- Launch the game and stay on the Title Screen.
- Go to User Center → Link Account.
- Select and link the platform account you want to connect (Steam, Epic, PSN, Gmail, etc.).
You can also access this in-game directly via:
Settings → Other → User Center → Link Account
Important Rules (Do Not Skip These!)
Link BEFORE making a new character on a new platform. If you want to continue progress from another platform, link your old account first. Otherwise, you will create a new character, and linking will not work. Both accounts can not already have a character.
For example, if your Steam account has a character and your PSN account also has a character, you cannot link them unless one character is deleted by support.
Example scenario
You play on Steam, and now you want to play on PS5:
- Solution one:
- Log into the game on your steam account and link your PSN account directly
- Then log in on PS5 and on your title screen make sure both accounts area already linked
- Solution two:
- Log in on PS5
- At the title screen, link your Steam account first before doing anything else
- You will then load your existing character normally
Beta Test & PlayStation Pre-Order Players
For those who played on the beta, you have to log in with the same account you used during the beta:
- Played beta on Steam → Log in/continue on Steam
- Played beta via Facebook/Google → Log in via the same method
- Played beta on PlayStation → Continue on PlayStation
- Played beta on PS but want to play on Steam → Link your PSN to Steam before character creation
For the PlayStation 5 Pre-order exclusive rewards, they will be sent in game when you log onto your PS5. You do not have to keep playing on the PS5. You can just log in to claim the rewards. Just make sure to link your accounts first.
For players who won the Website Lucky Draw, make sure to submit your Gmail or NetEase account before November 30 on the pre-register page. Rewards will be sent after that date.
Discord Beta Event Winners can contact the Discord Support Team with your in-game ID once you have it.
