When you jump online in Where Winds Meet, it’s very easy to get distracted by the massive open-world, or simply get lost in the many different menus that the game offers. As you continue to play, you will realize that the boss battles in this game can be a fun challenge at times, and so can the different PvP modes!

In order to maximize your success in these modes and further progress your progression in the game, it’s very important to make sure you understand the many different ways you can max out your damage output, health, and overall defense.

In this article, we highlight a handful of tips to do just that! The video below covers all of these different ways you can max out your character – continue reading on to learn more about each method!

Tip #1: Recycle and Tune Gear

One of the best things you can do to max out your stats is by “tuning” your gear. As you select a piece of gear (level 41 or higher), you will have the option to “Tune” or “Recycle” gear pieces.

If you recycle gear, you will either gain some coins (for gear under level 41), or gain materials required in order to tune gear (for gear level 41 or higher). The action of tuning a piece of equipment is essentially adding an additional passive bonus to the piece, directly impacting your character’s power.

This could lead to more health, damage, defense, affinity rate, and other major benefits!

Tip #2: Understanding Weapon Types

Each weapon in Where Winds Meet falls into a different category. For example, Mortal Rope Darts and Infernal Twinblades are part of the “Bamboocut – Wind” family of weapons.

It’s important to understand what family your weapons fall within, as there are typically many passive boosts that are directed towards specific weapon types.

For example, the second passive in the image above calls out, “Max Stonesplit Attack +5.9”. This passive for example would help boost up my DPS if I used a Stormbreaker Spear in my build!

You can see which family each weapon falls within by visiting the “Martial Arts” tab (screenshot below).

Tip #3: Enhancing Gear Slots

One of the easiest and most impactful things you can do to progress your character in Where Winds Meet is by enhancing your gear. Each slot (pictured below) can be enhanced using some coins and a few materials. Every time you enhance each slot, your character will PERMANENTLY gain a handful of additional stats.

This menu can be accessed by clicking the “Develop” menu, and then “Enhance”.

Tip #4: Gain Constitution

One of the easiest ways to boost your constitution in Where Winds Meet is by defeating the different “Outpost Fights” that are scattered around the map. Outposts can be identified by the icon within your world map below.

Typically, you will be tasked with defeating a handful of mobs and then a boss-like enemy to take down, which will then lead to a victory. Once victorious, you will gain 5 Constitution, and then a handful of other rewards!

In many cases, you will need to have high Constitution in order to equip certain pieces of gear!

There are many, many other ways to boost your character’s stats as well, but these are a few quick tips you can start doing today to further progress your character in Where Winds Meet!
