January brings new winds to Where Winds Meet with Version 1.2, releasing on January 8, 2026! The month starts with a mix of exciting stories, difficult challenges, and seasonal events that will keep both solo players and guild members busy this time!
Early Adventures and Challenges
Things start on January 4 with Solo Mode: Level 10 Unbound, giving you a chance to raise your world level and take on some seriously scary new bosses. At the same time, Hero’s Realm: Sorrow of Mortalbound opens, letting you face one of the hardest fights of the game.
New Stories and Bosses
January 8 marks the start of the next Kaifeng Campaign and Legacy Quests, introducing a new story and zone for those who like exploration and lore. You will also be able to face the fearsome World Boss: Nameless General and participate in the fast-paced Jianghu Martial Games, a true test of skill and strategy.
Puzzles and Guild Battles
The fun keeps going with the Puzzle Cave: Mistveil Prison, opening on January 15, and right after that, the Guild Battle Preseason kicks off on January 16. This week also finally introduces the Nine Mortal Ways Base on January 22, a mysterious new region waiting to be explored, and where you will be able to join the Nine Mortal Ways Sect.
Stories, Events, and Seasonal Fun
January will end with the Whispers Beneath the Moon story on the 25th. You can also enjoy special events like Year of Abundance and Season-End Dash, both starting on January 29, making sure you get plenty of content and rewards to close the month.
