Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, Patch 1.3.

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers crossed over 100,000 concurrent players right after its launch on Steam.

However, despite the large player count, the game was bombarded with negative reviews on its Steam page. Most of these negative reviews focused on the game’s optimization.

The devs have released a patch to address most performance-related optimization issues, along with several bug fixes and stability improvements for low-end PCs.

Furthermore, the devs have announced that everyone who purchased Wuchang: Fallen Feathers will receive the Original Soundtrack DLC for free as compensation for these issues.

What Does the Patch Bring?

Low Latency Mode will be disabled by default, and players will need to manually enable it after the update. The patch also improves performance for GPUs with less than 8GB VRAM, enhancing stability and reducing crashes and stutters.

The update also adjusts supersampling resolution limits for certain GPUs. This change prevents unintended performance drops on specific GPUs.

Additionally, the update fixes a crash that occurred on startup. An issue where Standard and Deluxe Edition owners couldn’t receive the correct content rewards has been fixed. Players can now claim these rewards from the Donation Box in the game.

If you’ve progressed to Chapter 2, you might have encountered a significant number of landmines in snow-covered areas, which affect the player experience negatively. The update reduces both the number of landmines and their damage output.

The developers have also confirmed that they are currently working on a much larger patch that will be released in a few days. They’ve also urged players tocontact Wuchang: Fallen Feathers’ Customer Support if they continue to experience issues after Patch 1.3.
