Xbox just made two pretty big changes to Game Pass, and they are going in opposite directions depending on how you look at it.
Starting today, Game Pass Ultimate drops from $29.99 to $22.99 a month, and PC Game Pass goes from $16.49 down to $13.99. That is a nice price cut and a welcome one for anyone who has been on the fence about subscribing. Especially after the price was increased just last year, before bringing it down again now.
Call of Duty Is Leaving Day One
The catch is the Call of Duty news. Xbox stated that, going forward, new Call of Duty titles will no longer join Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass at launch. They will simply be added during the following holiday season instead, roughly a year after release. Existing Call of Duty games already in the library stay as is, so nothing is being removed.

Xbox framed the price drop as a response to player feedback, and the Call of Duty change as a separate decision. Whether this is a fair trade-off probably depends on how much you care about playing new Call of Duty titles on day one through Game Pass.
For everyone else who primarily uses Game Pass for its general games library, day one releases, and online multiplayer, not a lot changes day to day, just a lower monthly bill.
