1. Disclaimer

This page will serve as a rough introduction to Uldir based on testing on the Beta, and will be maintained in the coming weeks as more is discovered about the raid through live play. Right now, it will focus on talent options and small observable optimizations that you can execute as Feral in each Uldir boss encounter, rather than a full-fledged guide for tackling the boss. Currently, the details are oriented toward Heroic mode and below, but will be updated with Mythic tips as time goes on.

2. Feral Druid in Uldir

Feral Druid is currently limited in some encounters due to tuning, but many fights lean into specific talents such as Predator Icon Predator that grant surges of Energy. Many encounters also provide additional targets to roll Bleed effects on, so within Uldir Feral may be better than is currently perceived.

2.1. Talent Cheatsheet

Bear in mind that the majority of talent selections presented below will follow a similar pattern to the Talent page. Notes will be made based on fight archetypes that allow you to capitalize on some of the specific Feral mechanics.

Taloc M.O.T.H.E.R. Fetid Devourer Zek'voz, Herald of N'Zoth Vectis Zul, Reborn Mythrax the Unraveler G'huun

3. Taloc

3.1. Suggested Talents for Feral Druid on Taloc

3.1.1. Taloc Feral Druid Talent Notes

Taloc has a dichotomy between single target and cleave, so there is a good amount of flexibility available in the tree. Your choice will lean toward what you find most necessary.

  • First tier talents allow for your own choice. Blood Scent Icon Blood Scent is the most flexible between the two phases, Lunar Inspiration Icon Lunar Inspiration focuses on boss damage and small cleave, which is your usual focus. Finally, Predator Icon Predator allows for you to generate huge amounts of Energy to burn down dangerous adds during the elevator transition.
  • Tiger Dash Icon Tiger Dash allows you to quickly disengage when affected by Sanguine Static Icon Sanguine Static, while Wild Charge Icon Wild Charge lets you re-engage more frequently without sacrificing Dash Icon Dash. Renewal Icon Renewal has some fringe uses due to the heavy personal damage you may take, so this is a personal choice.
  • Jagged Wounds Icon Jagged Wounds provides the most versatile damage profile across the different portions of the encounter, and is recommended.
  • Sabertooth Icon Sabertooth will allow you to fixate on boss damage, while Brutal Slash Icon Brutal Slash will be an option for transition damage. Savage Roar Icon Savage Roar allows you to do both of these at a slightly reduced rate, making you more flexible. The choice is yours based on what your raid needs here.

4. M.O.T.H.E.R.

4.1. Suggested Talents for Feral Druid on M.O.T.H.E.R.

4.1.1. M.O.T.H.E.R. Feral Druid Talent Notes

M.O.T.H.E.R. has a number of nuances to the encounter that requires you to not only deal damage to your primary target, but also to groups of adds that spawn. This ends with a high damage burst in the final phase.

  • Blood Scent Icon Blood Scent provides a very versatile choice, however the sheer number of enemies dying if you are moving into the different rooms leans very strongly into Predator Icon Predator.
  • Jagged Wounds Icon Jagged Wounds is the most versatile throughout the encounter, however if necessary Incarnation: King of the Jungle Icon Incarnation: King of the Jungle can be used to front-load your damage in the final phase of the encounter.
  • Sabertooth Icon Sabertooth is excellent for single target due to the nature of the encounter, which makes it a pairing for the final phase. Brutal Slash Icon Brutal Slash focuses entirely on dealing as much to the add periods of the fight as possible, while Savage Roar Icon Savage Roar melds the best of both worlds to be relevant in all aspects. Your choice should be based off what your raid needs. This is especially true if you pair it with Predator, granting additional Energy to fuel this.

5. Fetid Devourer

5.1. Suggested Talents for Feral Druid on Fetid Devourer

5.1.1. Fetid Devourer Feral Druid Talent Notes

Fetid Devourer is predominantly a single target fight, so you should select talents that focus on this. However, there are some small adds that will die, which can assist some talents.

6. Zek'voz, Herald of N'Zoth

6.1. Suggested Talents for Feral Druid on Zek'voz, Herald of N'Zoth

6.1.1. Zek'voz, Herald of N'Zoth Feral Druid Talent Notes

Zek'voz has a number of damage profiles baked into one much like M.O.T.H.E.R. and as such your choices are going to be decided based on what your group needs. You have the flexibility to assist multiple targets using your spread DoT effects, and can also talent into burst options if absolutely necessary.

  • Blood Scent Icon Blood Scent can serve as a universal option throughout the encounter, but there are many instances to trigger Predator Icon Predator, making it more desirable. If you are focused in on single target, Lunar Inspiration Icon Lunar Inspiration is still acceptable here.
  • Jagged Wounds Icon Jagged Wounds provides the most flexible option to mix between the cleave and single target sections, however Incarnation: King of the Jungle Icon Incarnation: King of the Jungle will allow for the highest burst damage in the final phase when affected by Orb of Corruption Icon Orb of Corruption.
  • Sabertooth Icon Sabertooth provides the most prominent single target increase, however Savage Roar Icon Savage Roar allows you to more dynamically interact with adds that appear throughout the encounter.

7. Vectis

7.1. Suggested Talents for Feral Druid on Vectis

7.1.1. Feral Druid Talent Notes

Vectis is predominantly single target with some intermittent add spawns, and also has forced downtime, so you should opt into talents that are oriented toward this.

  • Predator Icon Predator can be used if you are applying bleeds to the adds spawned by Gestate Icon Gestate, allowing for additional Energy flow.

8. Zul, Reborn

8.1. Suggested Talents for Feral Druid on Zul, Reborn

8.1.1. Zul, Reborn Feral Druid Talent Notes

Zul is an encounter that has single target, cleave, AoE, and priority burn phases so can tailor your build based upon what you want to focus on the most. Many phases allow you to funnel benefits from other talents into each other, and Feral has a good number of ways to capitalise upon this.

  • Blood Scent Icon Blood Scent once again is a universal option, but has less potential than alternatives. Lunar Inspiration Icon Lunar Inspiration leans into priority targets and the final burn on the boss. Predator Icon Predator however remains the priority here due to the number of enemies that will be dying frequently throughout the encounter to flood you with Energy.
  • Jagged Wounds Icon Jagged Wounds plays well throughout the encounter with the large number of high health adds that need to be killed. Incarnation: King of the Jungle Icon Incarnation: King of the Jungle on the other hand focuses on the final burn phase focusing on killing the boss when this transition occurs.
  • Brutal Slash Icon Brutal Slash provides an AoE option throughout the encounter due to the large number of big add waves. Sabertooth Icon Sabertooth leans into the single target focus if you opt into this, but is less flexible. Savage Roar Icon Savage Roar allows you to contribute to both aspects of this, and the increased Energy surge from Predator throughout the encounter makes it easier to maintain.

9. Mythrax the Unraveler

9.1. Suggested Talents for Feral Druid on Mythrax the Unraveler

9.1.1. Mythrax the Unraveler Feral Druid Talent Notes

Mythrax is largely single target oriented, with small portions of cleave and AoE during the intermission. You should ideally be focusing on multi DoT effects in between prioritising single target damage dealt to the boss.

  • Lunar Inspiration Icon Lunar Inspiration can be used to not only focus on single target but also cleave both adds during the transition for additional cleave. Predator Icon Predator on the other hand can gain during the transition due to the frequency of Visions of Madness Icon Visions of Madness deaths in this period, but is less versatile.
  • Sabertooth Icon Sabertooth is strong due to the single target damage required, and can also in some cases allow you to roll two Rip Icon Rips on both transition adds with good planning. Savage Roar Icon Savage Roar on the other hand is more flexible to allow you to cleave down Visions of Madness, and apply Moonfire Icon Moonfire (if using Lunar Inspiration Icon Lunar Inspiration) at range for additional damage.

10. G'huun

10.1. Suggested Talents for Feral Druid on G'huun

10.1.1. G'huun Feral Druid Talent Notes

G'huun has a whole lot of adds throughout the encounter, alongside some short windows of increased damage dealt, and damage taken by the boss. This leans heavily into flexible talents that allow you to capitalise on cleave and targets dying.

  • Predator Icon Predator has incredibly powerful uses due to the sheer amount of targets that will feed you resets throughout the encounter. Blood Scent Icon Blood Scent and Lunar Inspiration Icon Lunar Inspiration both provide more flexible options if you are not able to capitalise on this, but they will yield weaker results.
  • Jagged Wounds Icon Jagged Wounds is most flexible due to the wealth of high health targets that allow you to roll Bleed effects on them. Incarnation: King of the Jungle Icon Incarnation: King of the Jungle on the other hand allows you to focus entirely on the exposed phase during Reorigination Blast Icon Reorigination Blast, but will reduce your effectiveness elsewhere.
  • Similarly, Sabertooth Icon Sabertooth will allow you to roll Bleeds on the longer lasting targets. Brutal Slash Icon Brutal Slash will shift your focus toward dealing with adds in the earlier phases, whilst Savage Roar Icon Savage Roar will focus more on improving your damage throughout the encounter.
