Introduction

In this section you will find information pertaining to each boss individually. It is recommended you follow the standard talent build found in the Builds, Talents, and Glyphs section of the guide unless otherwise advised on a per boss basis. Much of the information is geared towards Mythic encounters, though it can be applied equally to the lesser difficulties.

1. Important Note

Healing is a very contextual role, and you may find that within the context of your own raid group you need to alter your setup from our recommendation to provide the best relief for your allies. In order to correctly assess what this may be, we highly recommend you read the Talent Descriptions in depth to understand where and when alterations should be made.

On easier bosses, or bosses you have on farm status, you can optimize your damage significantly. DPS trinkets, talents, and even legendaries can be used at your discretion. For example, using Pristine Proto-Scale Girdle Icon Pristine Proto-Scale Girdle with Echo of the Elements Icon Echo of the Elements and Norgannon's Prowess Icon Norgannon's Prowess in place of Eonar's Compassion Icon Eonar's Compassion will provide a hefty damage increase at the cost of healing.

Aman'Thul's Vision Icon Aman'Thul's Vision offers the most overall sustained throughput, but due to its rarity we have not included it as our default recommendation.

1.1. Legendary Notes

Many of the legendary items have similar or contextual value for Restoration. Our recommendations can be mixed and matched depending on your current trinkets and tier pieces without much noticeable penalty. See our Gear page for more information on legendary items.

2. Antorus, the Burning Throne

2.1. Garothi Worldbreaker

Trinkets on this boss are not particularly important, as it is unlikely you will feel pressured to output any heavy healing. Many players will opt to use damage trinkets instead, and talents can also be adjusted to provide slightly more damage. High Tide Icon High Tide should be used if you want to provide the most consistent raid healing. Ascendance Icon Ascendance should be chosen if you want an extra cooldown to stabilize any of the shakier parts of the fight, such as the last phase on Mythic or after an Eradication Icon Eradication.

Trinket Choice: Eonar's Compassion Icon Eonar's Compassion & Player's Preference.

Legendary Choice: Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus Icon Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus & Soul of the Farseer Icon Soul of the Farseer.

Talent Choice:

2.2. Felhounds of Sargeras

Your Tier 7 talent will depend greatly on your raid's healing profile. We feel Ascendance Icon Ascendance provides slightly more safety for early kills, as the bosses' mechanical overlaps are typically the major points of threat for most groups. High Tide Icon High Tide can provide strong and consistent healing, however, which you may prefer if your raid is already covered on healing cooldowns.

Trinket Choice: Eonar's Compassion Icon Eonar's Compassion & Velen's Future Sight Icon Velen's Future Sight.

Legendary Choice: Roots of Shaladrassil Icon Roots of Shaladrassil & Velen's Future Sight Icon Velen's Future Sight.

Talent Choice:

2.3. Antoran High Command

Trinket Choice: Eonar's Compassion Icon Eonar's Compassion & Highfather's Machination Icon Highfather's Machination OR Velen's Future Sight Icon Velen's Future Sight.

Legendary Choice: Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus Icon Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus & Soul of the Farseer Icon Soul of the Farseer OR Velen's Future Sight Icon Velen's Future Sight.

Talent Choice:

2.4. Eonar the Life-Binder

Since there is not a lot to this boss, feel free to use whatever you like or optimize purely for damage.

Trinket Choice: Eonar's Compassion Icon Eonar's Compassion & Sea Star of the Depthmother Icon Sea Star of the Depthmother.

Legendary Choice: Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus Icon Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus & Soul of the Farseer Icon Soul of the Farseer.

Talent Choice:

2.5. Portal Keeper Hasabel

Trinket Choice: Eonar's Compassion Icon Eonar's Compassion & Highfather's Machination Icon Highfather's Machination.

Legendary Choice: Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus Icon Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus & Roots of Shaladrassil Icon Roots of Shaladrassil.

Talent Choice:

2.6. Imonar the Soulhunter

Velen's Future Sight Icon Velen's Future Sight is highly recommended, as you will have access to it for each intermission phase. Ascendance Icon Ascendance and Ancestral Guidance Icon Ancestral Guidance are also a necessity, as you want to have access to as many cooldowns as possible on this encounter, particularly for the fourth and fifth intermissions. Ancestral Protection Totem Icon Ancestral Protection Totem is also helpful for the final intermissions as deaths are often an inevitability on Mythic.

Trinket Choice: Eonar's Compassion Icon Eonar's Compassion & Velen's Future Sight Icon Velen's Future Sight.

Legendary Choice: Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus Icon Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus & Velen's Future Sight Icon Velen's Future Sight.

Talent Choice:

2.7. Kin'garoth

Soul of the Farseer Icon Soul of the Farseer is a great choice for this encounter, as movement is very high and it also allows for a bit of extra damage on the constructs in the Down Phase. Ascendance Icon Ascendance is the default choice, as it is fantastic for the Down Phase and for healing through multiple Diabolic Bomb Icon Diabolic Bombs detonating at once. High Tide Icon High Tide can be used if you feel your group already has enough throughput cooldowns.

Trinket Choice: Eonar's Compassion Icon Eonar's Compassion & Highfather's Machination Icon Highfather's Machination.

Legendary Choice: Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus Icon Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus & Soul of the Farseer Icon Soul of the Farseer.

Talent Choice:

2.8. Varimathras

Fire in the Deep Icon Fire in the Deep can really shine on this fight, particularly if you get lucky at the right times. If you do not like the randomness of it, however, we recommend using Roots of Shaladrassil Icon Roots of Shaladrassil or Velen's Future Sight Icon Velen's Future Sight instead. Despite the stacked nature of the fight, Ascendance Icon Ascendance will nearly always provide more healing, as raid healing will already be high, instead allowing you to do a lot more heavy lifting at the right times. As movement is quite low, Wind Rush Totem Icon Wind Rush Totem is typically the better choice as it results in a gain for your entire raid when swapping stack locations.

Trinket Choice: Eonar's Compassion Icon Eonar's Compassion & Player's Preference

Legendary Choice: Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus Icon Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus & Fire in the Deep Icon Fire in the Deep.

Talent Choice:

2.9. The Coven of Shivarra

Earthgrab Totem Icon Earthgrab Totem is quite useful for dealing with the Spectral Army of Norgannon Icon Spectral Army of Norgannon. As the raid can be quite spread out for this encounter, we recommend using Soul of the Farseer Icon Soul of the Farseer for the additional Riptide Icon Riptide charges, as well as a small damage boost on some of the Torment of the Titans adds (such as Aman'Thul).

Trinket Choice: Eonar's Compassion Icon Eonar's Compassion & Highfather's Machination Icon Highfather's Machination

Legendary Choice: Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus Icon Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus & Soul of the Farseer Icon Soul of the Farseer.

Talent Choice:

2.10. Aggramar

Aggramar can be a very high movement encounter, depending on how lucky you and nearby allies are with mechanics. Highfather's Machination Icon Highfather's Machination is exceptional for the intermission phases, which is also where you will want to be dropping your cooldowns. You should place the Ancestral Protection Totem Icon Ancestral Protection Totem during the second intermission, where the Wake of Flame Icon Wake of Flames provide an even greater threat to the raid. Many players will opt to drop the Pantheon trinket, Eonar's Compassion Icon Eonar's Compassion, in favor of an extra cooldown in the form of Velen's Future Sight Icon Velen's Future Sight. This is a personal choice, but this typically offers the greatest safety overall.

Earthgrab Totem Icon Earthgrab Totem is typically recommended as it is quite useful for helping permanently root the Embers, or kite them, whichever your strategy requires.

Trinket Choice: Highfather's Machination Icon Highfather's Machination & Eonar's Compassion Icon Eonar's Compassion OR Velen's Future Sight Icon Velen's Future Sight

Legendary Choice: Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus Icon Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus & Soul of the Farseer Icon Soul of the Farseer OR Velen's Future Sight Icon Velen's Future Sight.

Talent Choice:

2.11. Argus the Unmaker

Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus Icon Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus is very valuable on Mythic, due to the extreme damage of Tortured Rage Icon Tortured Rage. Dropping the Pantheon trinket, Eonar's Compassion Icon Eonar's Compassion, is recommended; you will get massive value out of Highfather's Machination Icon Highfather's Machination (also due to Tortured Rage). Velen's Future Sight Icon Velen's Future Sight will be used nearly on cooldown, cementing it as your other trinket of choice. Ancestral Protection Totem Icon Ancestral Protection Totem can be used as your raid requires. Undulation Icon Undulation is preferred due to the extreme tank damage.

Trinket Choice: Highfather's Machination Icon Highfather's Machination & Velen's Future Sight Icon Velen's Future Sight

Legendary Choice: Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus Icon Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus & Velen's Future Sight Icon Velen's Future Sight.
