Arknights: Endfield Gets Few Improvements and Enemy Nerfs

Arknights: Endfield is currently undergoing maintenance to release a small update focused on bug fixes, balance changes, and quality-of-life improvements.

The maintenance is scheduled for January 30 at 8:10 (UTC+8), so it is either already live or coming to an end, depending on your time zone. As usual, everyone will receive compensation once the servers are back online.

Maintenance Compensation

After the update, all players will receive:

  • Oroberyl x700
  • Emergency Sanity Booster x6
  • Sanity Usage Permit x20

This is a nice amount of free resources, given that it is only a very small update. It is especially useful if you are actively trying to obtain Laevatain or any of the upcoming 6-Star Operators.

Simulation Gets a Major QoL Upgrade

One of the most important changes is around the Simulation mode, especially for players who have already mastered its content.

If you have fully completed the AIC Plan content inside a simulation, you can now use a “Complete SIM” button to instantly finish the session and claim both first-clear and bonus rewards. No more replaying content you have already mastered just to clean things up.

Basically, this means that if you already placed down a facility before doing the simulation, you can now simply claim the sim rewards without having to do another tutorial about it.

Hypergryph also confirmed that engraved medals will eventually be awarded based on the total number of fully completed simulation sessions. Both past and future completions will count, with more details coming in a future announcement.

Enemy Balance Adjustments

This update also makes combat a bit less punishing in a few areas:

  • Enemy HP has been reduced between Levels 10 and 50
  • Certain enemies in the Wuling region now have less damage resistance
  • The boss Marble Aggelomoirai deals less damage when it is in its awake state

These changes should make progression feel better, especially for early to mid-game players.

Additional Optimizations

On top of gameplay changes, the update includes a few smaller improvements:

  • Better prompts when you enter an administrator name on the controller on PC
  • Improved sound effects and voice-overs
  • Better animations for certain NPCs
  • Refined interaction effects

Overall, this is not a massive update, but it is definitely an important one. It means fewer forced tutorials in Simulation, slightly easier combat in early progression, and a handful of welcome optimizations across the game.

If you have been waiting to push content or clean up old simulations, now is a good time!
