Best 6-Star Pick From the Free Selection Permit in Arknights: Endfield

Arknights: Endfield is giving all Endministrators a 6-Star Designation Selection Permit if you completed Chapter I – Process I: Break the Siege. The permit lets you directly choose one 6-Star Operator from the Basic Headhunting banner. You might be wondering who the best pick is, and we are here to answer that question!

The short answer will always be that it depends on your roster. However, here is a general look at the selection and who can be the most viable long-term.

Prioritize What You Do Not Own

Before talking about “meta,” the most important thing to know is that, as of right now, duplicates are currently low value in Endfield.

Additional copies of a character do not provide meaningful bonuses right now, and with only one team required for current content, flexibility matters more than optimization. If you are missing only one of the available 6-Star Operators, just pick that one. Even niche Operators can become useful later as content evolves.

If you are missing multiple characters, that is where prioritization starts to matter.

Easy Skip: Ardelia

Ardelia is one of the strongest healers in the game, but she is also being given for free through login rewards. Because duplicates bring very little value at the moment, using the permit on her is largely a waste unless you somehow miss the free copy.

Even though she is excellent, she is an easy skip for this selector.

Ember: Viable, but Low Priority

Ember tends to be a bit underrated and can work well in more unconventional team setups. That said, she is clearly weaker than Ardelia overall, and since Endfield currently does not demand multiple teams or specialized compositions, her usefulness is limited for most players.

She is still very good, but just not an important pick right now.

Top Priorities: Lifeng and Pogranichnik

If you are missing Lifeng or Pogranichnik, these are the two Operators you should focus on first.

Both are major upgrades for physical teams, especially when paired with your Endministrator, and they slot naturally into most early and mid-game physical teams without any problem.

Keep in mind that Pogranichnik is harder to replace, and Lifeng has more potential substitutes, so if you have to choose only one, Pogranichnik is generally the better long-term pick.

Last Rite?

Last Rite is currently one of the strongest DPS Operators in the game, particularly as a Cryo damage dealer. If you are lacking damage and want immediate power, she is a very solid choice.

However, there is an important thing to keep in mind. Yvonne is coming soon, and she is expected to outperform Last Rite in a similar role. If you already plan to pull for Yvonne, spending the selector on Last Rite may feel useless later.

If you do not plan to pull for Yvonne, Last Rite remains a very good option.

It is important to remember that all Operators available through this permit are permanent banner characters, and currently, they are all useful. None of these picks is “wrong,” and choosing a character you genuinely like is perfectly valid, especially in a game like this.
