Blizzard Reportedly Asking Players If They Are Fine Paying Up to $100 for a Diablo 4 DLC

Blizzard is apparently testing out the waters, asking players in a survey if they are fine with paying up to $100 for a Diablo 4 DLC.

Blizzard revealed Vessel of Hatred at this year’s BlizzCon. While we know the expansion is targeting for a late 2024 release, we still do not know how much will it cost.

The first details about a survey that included potential pricing were revealed in a Bellular News video. Blizzard reportedly inquired players about how much they’d be willing to pay for a Diablo 4 DLC, without specifically mentioning “Vessel of Hatred”. The survey presented four game editions, labeled A to D, with price points at $50, $70, $80, and $100.

Bellular shared a breakdown of the various game editions and the perks that come with each. Among these are highly anticipated features such as expanded Stash space and NPCs who grants access to your Stash and collects gold for players. Other benefits include four days of early access, among other things. Notably, the survey mentions early access to a Unique Items and Legendary Aspect available to players who opt for the priciest version of the game.

Please note this doesn’t mean we’ll have quality-of-life improvements gated behind game versions, especially with stash improvements still being worked on. We are more than 100% certain the developers would never agree on anything like that.

Anyway, here’s the table with all the potential game versions and perks, according to the survey:

Obviously, this is a common pre-marketing survey and it doesn’t mean Vessel of Hatred will cost that much, it’s just interesting to see all the options they are considering.
