Feeling romantic? You might not be if you’re still struggling with split arena prog, but maybe Final Fantasy XIV‘s upcoming holiday event will set your heart in a better mood. Valentione’s Day returns to Eorzea, and with it the opportunity to earn some new outfits for your glamours. Here’s what you need to know:
Quest Location & Rewards
To start the Valentione quest, you need to be level 15 and have completed the main scenario quest “It’s Probably Pirates.” Assuming that’s most of you reading this, head to Old Gridania to
Mih Khetto’s Amphitheatre. Talk to Astrid (X: 10.2 Y: 9.4) and accept the quest “The Icing on the Cake” to begin the seasonal quest.
Rewards are handled differently compared to previous seasonal events. Once you finish the quest, your main reward will be Rolanberry Valentione Cake, a tabletop meal that will give you some bonuses. If you want the outfits this year, you’ll need to work for them!
The main draw for this Valentione’s Day is the Patisserie minigame, complete with fixed or matched queuing for parties of one to four. Your goal is simple: decorate as many cakes as you can within ten minutes. But beware, you’ll need to dodge patrolling mammets lest they make you drop your edible ornaments. The more cakes you decorate, the more chocolates you’ll receive for purchasing additional rewards. Don’t worry, you can run the minigame as many times as you like, even after you finish the quest.
