The wait for the next exciting update of Genshin Impact is almost over, as version 5.6 is officially available for pre-download. Hoyo have confirmed that update maintenance will commence at 06:00 (UTC+8) on May 7, 2025, with the process expected to take around 5 hours to complete.
To avoid delays when the servers go live again, it’s highly recommended that players pre-install the update files ahead of time, now available across all supported platforms. Console only being a more recent addition to the pre-install options for players unaware.
As Always – There’s Primogem Compensation
As always, the Genshin team will provide the classic 300 Primo compensation for the maintenance downtime. Players who reached Adventure Rank 5 or higher before the start of maintenance (May 7, 2025, 06:00 UTC+8) will receive 300 Primogems, calculated at 60 Primogems per hour of downtime.
The compensation will be distributed via in-game mail within 5 hours after maintenance concludes.
