Escoffier Guide & Best Builds

Welcome to our Escoffier build guide for Genshin Impact. Escoffier is a powerful 5-star Cryo support character, dealing high off-field damage, large amounts of RES Shred to Cryo and Hydro, and providing great healing.

Best Weapons for Escoffier

Listed below are Escoffier's best weapons. While weapons are listed in a priority order, what's best for your Escoffier can vary depending on the team composition and level of investment you want to put into Escoffier.

Symphonist of Scents (R1) 129%

Seasoned Symphony

Base ATK: 608

CRIT DMG: 66.2%

ATK is increased by 12% / 15% / 18% / 21% / 24%. When the equipping character is off-field, ATK is increased by an additional 12% / 15% / 18% / 21% / 24%. After initiating healing, the equipping character and the character(s) they have healed will obtain the "Sweet Echoes" effect, increasing their ATK by 32% / 40% / 48% / 56% / 64% for 3s. This effect can be triggered even if the equipping character is off-field.

Symphonist of Scents is Escoffier's signature and strongest weapon. It is best not only for her own damage, but it also provides a good ATK% buff to your active character, making it much better than the other weapons for overall team damage. The high amount of ATK% it provides is also great for her healing.
Engulfing Lightning (R1) 124%

Timeless Dream: Eternal Stove

Base ATK: 608

Energy Recharge: 55.1%

ATK increased by 28% / 35% / 42% / 49% / 56% of Energy Recharge over the base 100%. You can gain a maximum bonus of 80% / 90% / 100% / 110% / 120% ATK. Gain 30% / 35% / 40% / 45% / 50% Energy Recharge for 12s after using an Elemental Burst.

Engulfing Lightning provides a massive amount of Energy Recharge, able to single-handedly cover her Energy requirements in most teams, while also providing some ATK%. In teams where Escoffier needs large amounts of Energy Recharge, this is her second strongest weapon. However, it is much worse in teams where her Energy requirements are low, such as triple Cryo teams.
Calamity Queller (R1) 123%

Extinguishing Precept

Base ATK: 741

ATK: 16.5%

Gain 12% / 15% / 18% / 21% / 24% All Elemental DMG Bonus. Obtain Consummation for 20s after using an Elemental Skill, causing ATK to increase by 3.2% / 4% / 4.8% / 5.6% / 6.4% per second. This ATK increase has a maximum of 6 stacks. When the character equipped with this weapon is not on the field, Consummation's ATK increase is doubled.

Calamity Queller provides an immense amount of Attack, great for both Escoffier's damage and healing.
Fractured Halo (R1) 111%

Purifying Crown

Base ATK: 608

CRIT DMG: 66.2%

After an Elemental Skill or Elemental Burst is used, ATK is increased by 24% / 30% / 36% / 42% / 48% for 20s. If the equipping character creates a Shield while this effect is active, they will gain the Electrifying Edict effect for 20s: All nearby party members deal 40% / 50% / 60% / 70% / 80% more Lunar-Charged DMG.

A decent stat stick, providing a good amount of CRIT DMG% and respectable ATK%.
Sacrificer's Staff (R1) 109%

Untainted Desire

Base ATK: 620

CRIT Rate: 9.2%

For 6s after an Elemental Skill hits an opponent, ATK is increased by 8% / 10% / 12% / 14% / 16% and Energy Recharge is increased by 6% / 7.5% / 9% / 10.5% / 12%. Max 3 stacks. This effect can be triggered even when the equipping character is off-field.

Sacrificer's Staff is generally Escoffier's strongest 4-star weapon option, providing three stats she values in Crit Rate, ATK%, and Energy Recharge. The weapon also refines very well, and can be her second strongest weapon overall once fully refined.
Staff of Homa (R1) 108%

Reckless Cinnabar

Base ATK: 608

CRIT DMG: 66.2%

HP increased by 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% / 40%. Additionally, provides an ATK Bonus based on 0.8% / 1% / 1.2% / 1.4% / 1.6% of the wielder's Max HP. When the wielder's HP is less than 50%, this ATK Bonus is increased by an additional 1% / 1.2% / 1.4% / 1.6% / 1.8% of Max HP.

Staff of Homa is identical to Fractured Halo, both providing the same Crit DMG% and identical Attack buffs.
Deathmatch (R1) 105%

Gladiator

Base ATK: 454

CRIT Rate: 36.8%

If there are at least 2 opponents nearby, ATK is increased by 16% / 20% / 24% / 28% / 32% and DEF is increased by 16% / 20% / 24% / 28% / 32%. If there are fewer than 2 opponents nearby, ATK is increased by 24% / 30% / 36% / 42% / 48%.

Deathmatch is a good accessible 4-star option if you buy the Battle Pass. However, it can be difficult to avoid overcapping on Crit Rate with it.
Tamayuratei no Ohanashi (R5) 100%

Busybody's Running Light

Base ATK: 565

Energy Recharge: 30.6%

Increase ATK by 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% / 40% and Movement SPD by 10% for 10s when using an Elemental Skill.

Tamayuratei no Ohanashi is a decent free-to-play weapon option, providing a respectable amount of ATK% and Energy Recharge. However, if you do not already have this weapon, it is no longer possible to obtain.
Favonius Lance (R5) 96%

Windfall

Base ATK: 565

Energy Recharge: 30.6%

CRIT Hits have a 60% / 70% / 80% / 90% / 100% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the character. Can only occur once every 12s / 10.5s / 9s / 7.5s / 6s.

Favonius Lance is not great for Escoffier's own damage, but the particles it creates can make it worthwhile if the rest of the team has high Energy requirements of their own.

Best Artifacts for Escoffier

Blizzard Strayer 110%

Blizzard Strayer

2-Piece Set: Cryo DMG Bonus +15%

4-Piece Set: When a character attacks an opponent affected by Cryo, their CRIT Rate is increased by 20%. If the opponent is Frozen, CRIT Rate is increased by an additional 20%.

Against enemies that can be Frozen, Blizzard Strayer is Escoffier's best set for maximizing her damage. However, it can be difficult to avoid overcapping on Crit Rate with this set, especially if using a Crit Rate weapon. The set also loses a lot of value if the enemy can't be Frozen, and most bosses can't.
Golden Troupe 100%

Golden Troupe

2-Piece Set: Increases Elemental Skill DMG by 20%.

4-Piece Set: Increases Elemental Skill DMG by 25%. Additionally, when not on the field, Elemental Skill DMG will be further increased by 25%. This effect will be cleared 2s after taking the field.

Golden Troupe is a great set for Escoffier's damage, without having the caveats of Blizzard Strayer, so it is a much more consistent option.
Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City 83%

Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City

2-Piece Set: When a nearby party member triggers a Nightsoul Burst, the equipping character regenerates 6 Elemental Energy.

4-Piece Set: After the equipping character triggers a reaction related to their Elemental Type, all nearby party members gain a 12% Elemental DMG Bonus for the Elemental Types involved in the elemental reaction for 15s. If the equipping character is in the Nightsoul's Blessing state when triggering this effect, all nearby party members gain an additional 28% Elemental DMG Bonus for the Elemental Types involved in the elemental reaction for 20s. The equipping character can trigger this effect while off-field, and the DMG bonus from Artifact Sets with the same name do not stack.

In teams where Escoffier is a lower portion of the overall team damage, it can be worth using her on a supportive set. Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City is recommended, and while Escoffier cannot provide the full 40 DMG% from the set, the 12% she provides is still decent.
Tenacity of the Millelith 83%

Tenacity of the Millelith

2-Piece Set: HP +20%

4-Piece Set: When an Elemental Skill hits an opponent, the ATK of all nearby party members is increased by 20% and their Shield Strength is increased by 30% for 3s. This effect can be triggered once every 0.5s. This effect can still be triggered even when the character who is using this artifact set is not on the field.

Escoffier is able to get full uptime on Tenacity of the Millelith. However, if Furina is on the team, she should usually use this set instead, and Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City becomes the better option on Escoffier.
Noblesse Oblige 82%

Noblesse Oblige

2-Piece Set: Elemental Burst DMG +20%

4-Piece Set: Using an Elemental Burst increases all party members' ATK by 20% for 12s. This effect cannot stack.

Noblesse Oblige is usable, but less recommended than Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City and Tenacity of the Millelith due to having lower uptime.
Song of Days Past 79%

Song of Days Past

2-Piece Set: Healing Bonus +15%.

4-Piece Set: When the equipping character heals a party member, the Yearning effect will be created for 6s, which records the total amount of healing provided (including overflow healing). When the duration expires, the Yearning effect will be transformed into the "Waves of Days Past" effect: When your active party member hits an opponent with a Normal Attack, Charged Attack, Plunging Attack, Elemental Skill, or Elemental Burst, the DMG dealt will be increased by 8% of the total healing amount recorded by the Yearning effect. The "Waves of Days Past" effect is removed after it has taken effect 5 times or after 10s. A single instance of the Yearning effect can record up to 15,000 healing, and only a single instance can exist at once, but it can record the healing from multiple equipping characters. Equipping characters on standby can still trigger this effect.

Escoffier's Stat Priority

Sands of Eon: ATK % / Energy Recharge
Goblet of Eonothem: Cryo DMG or ATK %
Circlet of Logos: CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG > ATK %
Substats: Energy Recharge > CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG > ATK %

If an Energy Recharge Sands is needed to reach Escoffier's Energy requirements, then it should be used. Otherwise, always use ATK%. Cryo DMG Goblet is better than ATK%, but it is a small difference if using Golden Troupe and ATK% is much better for her healing, so either Goblet is fine. CRIT circlets are better than ATK%, but ATK% is close enough to be used until you get a good Crit circlet.

Recommended Stats for Escoffier

Build recommendations assume a "decently built" level of artifact rolls with Escoffier on an R1 Deathmatch. Using other weapons may increase or decrease certain stats relative to these recommendations.

HP: 19,000-21,000
ATK: 1650-1800
CRIT Rate: 75-85%
CRIT DMG: 165-190%
Energy Recharge: 180-200%

Numbers shown above are with Escoffier on Golden Troupe and Deathmatch in a team with Skirk, Furina, and Mona. The amount of Energy Recharge you want on her can be much lower if using three Cryo units and/or higher particle generation characters.

Escoffier's Talent Priority

Talent Priority: Low-Temperature Cooking > Scoring Cuts >>> Kitchen Skills

The overwhelming majority of Escoffier's damage comes from her Elemental Skill, so this talent should always be prioritized. Her Elemental Burst doesn't deal too much damage, but her healing scales off this talent, so you do want to level it. Her Normal Attack talent can be ignored entirely.

How to Play Escoffier

Escoffier's playstyle focuses on being used in a team consisting entirely of Hydro and Cryo characters, providing great buffing via 55% RES Shred to both Elements, teamwide healing, and great off-field damage of her own. She will typically swap in and cast her Elemental Skill to get her damage and RES Shred going, then her Elemental Burst to heal the team. After casting both abilities, she will swap off to the next character in the party, continuing to do great damage from off-field the whole rotation.

Escoffier's Best Constellations

Escoffier has an extremely powerful C1, providing 60 Cryo Crit DMG% to both herself and the active character. This Constellation is a fantastic investment to make if you are using Escoffier with a Cryo DPS. However, if you are using a DPS of any other Element, this Constellation is not worth it, and getting her weapon Symphonist of Scents will be a better investment. Once you have Escoffier's C1 and/or weapon, this is a good investment stopping point, as her remaining Constellations aren't particularly great.

Constellation % of C0 % From Previous Constellation
C0 100%
100%
C1 119% 119%
C2 119% 100%
C3 145% 121%
C4 172% 119%
C5 176% 102%
C6 255% 145%
