The new update for Genshin Impact is now live, and Version “Luna VI” is a pretty big one, even outside of the usual banners. Between a new 5-star character, Mondstadt zones, and a ton of system updates, there is a lot more here than just pulls.

Of course, the update comes with some maintenance compensation, so make sure you check your in-game mail and grab the 300 Primogems, and an additional 300 for issue fix compensation, for a total of 600 Primogems!

Update Recap

Linnea Arrives as a New Geo Support

Genshin Impact Linnea and Lumi

The main highlight of the patch is, of course, Linnea, a 5-star Geo bow support:

  • Provides Geo RES shred
  • Offers team-wide healing through her Burst
  • Deals consistent off-field damage via Lumi

Lumi (her companion) is basically at the center of her entire kit, changing forms and staying active on the field to keep damage and healing going. There is also some exploration utility here, including creature capture and ore gathering, which is always a nice bonus.

New Mondstadt Areas to Explore

Luna VI expands Mondstadt with two new zones:

The Temple of Space comes with its own system, where you collect Memory Factors and offer them to a Memory Core for rewards and lore.

It is a mix of exploration and progression that feels closer to a mini progression system than just another area to clear.

New Story and Enemies

Linnea also gets her own Story Quest, where we will learn more about her background and role in Nod-Krai. On the combat side, two new enemies are being introduced:

  • Watcher: Fallen Vigil – tracks elemental damage and adapts mid-fight
  • Domain Keeper – changes elemental forms depending on what you use

Both are clearly designed to push players into more deliberate team setups instead of brute forcing.

Miliastra Wonderland Gets a Big Update

Genshin Impact MIliastra Luna VI update

The UGC mode continues to grow with Luna VI. Main changes include:

  • New cosmetic sets across multiple systems (Event Ode, Shop, Pass)
  • A new lobby theme and expanded customization
  • Better filters, sharing tools, and even a public channel
  • Increased lobby capacity (now up to 40 players)

It is slowly turning into a much bigger part of the game, not just a side feature.

Endgame Updates: Abyss, Theater, and TCG

Several endgame and casual modes are getting some adjustments and changes:

  • Spiral Abyss (April 16 & May 16)
    • New buffs heavily favor Lunar reactions and elemental damage setups
  • Imaginarium Theater (May 1)
    • New season with updated character rotations and bonuses
  • Genius Invokation TCG
    • New cards, balance changes, and a returning special mode

Nothing revolutionary here, but enough to keep rotations feeling nice and allow you to get some additional Primogems.

Small Changes That Matter

A few smaller updates are worth pointing out as well:

  • PlayStation 4 version is no longer supported
  • Better UI and auto-leveling logic (finally accounts for Mora)
  • Serenitea Pot improvements (faster crafting, better UI feedback)
  • Tons of bug fixes and audio updates

Luna VI is definitely not just about a new character, but it is one of those updates that brings both an exciting story, new characters, and new areas to explore.

Not everything here will matter to every player, but there is enough variety that most people will find something worth checking out.
