HoYoverse has officially revealed the next character from Genshin Impact Nod-Krai, and yes, you will have a hard time remembering his full name. It is Kyryll Chudomirovich Flins (yes, really)! And he brings a whole lot of mystery with him.
Known by the title “Shadowy Lights, Stranger Wights“, Flins is a Ratnik of Nod-Krai, a warrior tied to the Lightkeepers, a group fighting back against Abyssal threats. With his Electro Vision and a Constellation named Laterna Vigilis, he is clearly not your average soldier.
A War Hero With a Refined Edge

According to the official reveal, Flins got his reputation from fighting against Abyssal creatures long ago. A battle that cost the lives of nearly his entire squad. Out of what used to be seven or eight Lightkeepers, only he remains, now guarding a lonely cemetery near a lighthouse.
The people of Nod-Krai awarded him with a civilian commendation medal, delivered in a weathered box. But in Flins’ eyes, no medal could make up for the friends he lost.
A Storyteller, Not a Strategist
When locals gathered to ask questions about the Wild Hunt and other tragic memories, Flins stayed silent. Not evasive, but just… distant. He prefers sharing tales that fit the audience, always nicely crafted, and never overly dramatic. He is a refined, almost poetic speaker, with a certain elegance that sets him apart from your typical battlefield veteran.
According to one junior member of the force, Illuga, “He’s decisive in action and tactically adept… or so I hear? I’ve never worked with him. But don’t you find it strange how a warrior like that carries himself with such a refined air?”
Flins’ origins remain a mystery. No known siblings, no clear background. Just a man with too many memories, a calm voice, and an ability to get what he wants with words as much as weapons.
Between the dramatic lighthouse setting, the tragic stories of loss, and his elegant behavior, Flins already feels like a character who will sit somewhere between Kaeya‘s charm and Zhongli‘s wisdom, but with a spark of Xiao‘s sadness.
