Earlier today, Genshin Impact officially announced Nefer as an upcoming character to be released in Luna II. As expected based on her design, Nefer is a Dendro character.

Everything We Know So Far About Nefer
We meet Nefer quite early on in Luna I’s Archon Questline, where she plays a key role as the head of the Curatorium of Secrets and already has several Voice-Overs from playable characters.
Ineffa:
Nefer is the head of the Curatorium of Secrets. She knows a lot of stories, not just from the past, but also about what’s happening in the present — and some even say she can predict the future, too. Her mind must be a formidable database.
Aino:
Nefer has a black cat called Ashru. I offered to install a translator so we could understand what Ashru is saying, but Nefer turned me down without even considering it. She said she already has plenty of information and doesn’t need to hear what a cat has to say. Like, what!? Why so mean? Has she been hurt before, maybe by Lauma’s translations?
Lauma:
Clearly, we are different people with different ways of doing things, but I have never taken that to mean that we cannot get along.
No matter what, the light of the moon will always fall favorably upon her.
We can also speculate as to what Nefer’s role in combat would be given recent releases. With Lauma being a Dendro character to decreases the RES of Dendro and functions as a supportive Sub DPS for many bloom-based reactions we can expect Nefer to be the DPS that fully utilises Lauma’s kit to it’s fullest. We would not expect Nefer to act as a healer at least based on the fact that Lauma’s C1 also allows her to be a healer.
