Nefer Strengths and Weaknesses
Strengths
Extremely powerful Main DPS, focusing more on personal damage as opposed to reaction damage like most Dendro characters.
- Great future potential with room to grow further as more Nod-Krai supports are released.
- Enables Lunar-Bloom for the party and buffs based on Elemental Mastery.
Weaknesses
While Lauma isn't necessarily required, she is still a large portion of Nefer's overall potential.
- A second Nod-Krai character however is absolutely required due to the effects of Ascendant Gleam being such a huge part of Nefer's kit.
- Most Dendro Cores generated are converted into Seeds of Deceit which cannot trigger Hyperbloom and Burgeon reactions or Nilou Bloom's cores.

Nefer's best weapon is her signature, Reliquary of Truth, with other strong build options being Lauma's Signature Nightweaver's Looking Glass or the gacha 4-Star Dawning Frost. Outside of these 2 weapons, Nefer's signature is a significant DPS increase against other options listed.
Build Nefer with Night of the Sky's Unveiling as her artifact build option which is much better than other options. If you are still farming for decent Night of the Sky's Unveiling pieces then simply rock 2-Piece EM sets until you transition. Nefer should be built with a heavy focus on EM and CRIT Rate mainly.
Energy Recharge is nice to build if you do plan on bursting regularly. The ease of this does depend on your team composition. In Nefer's best teams, her Burst animation is fairly long, meaning you'll need to animation cancel during your rotation to make it worthwhile.
Nefer's Best Team Compositions
Nefer has one important factor to consider when building your team composition. This is because Ascendant Gleam (two Nod-Krai characters) is required so that A Wager of Moonlight can trigger which is the main aspect of Nefer's gameplay. Additionally, as a character who needs Lunar-Blooms, Nefer teams will need a Hydro character with enough Elemental Application.
Furthermore, Lauma is currently a key support for Nefer wherein teams without Lauma can be anywhere from 15-30% weaker than their with-Lauma counterparts much like other recent Main DPS releases. Therefore, teams are generally categorized as those that include Lauma and those that don't.

Nefer's best team currently features Aino, Lauma and Nahida. However, for many players, this team would be sustainless which can create problems. In a sustainless team, you would either need Lauma's C1 or Nahida would need to be using Prototype Amber to provide some healing to the team but may not be enough.
Therefore, it is generally not recommended to run sustainless. Instead, great support options are:
- Kuki Shinobu - Brings healing, uses Instructor & a bit of extra Spread damage.
- Sangonomiya Kokomi - Can replace Aino as the Hydro application source.
- Zhongli - RES Shred but his best artifact set Silken Moon's Serenade it can be rough to reliably trigger.
- General supports like Kirara and even Baizhu or Diona however they will extend your rotation.
Also, regardless of the team, someone should be using Deepwood Memories. Normally, this set should be equipped on Aino or whoever you can spare.
Nefer Teams Without Lauma

Teams without Lauma are best played with Nahida in that role instead, a Nod-Krai character will still be required so this leaves us with Aino or even Ineffa. That being said, Furina is generally better used in other teams as Furina's Elemental Burst doesn't buff Lunar-Bloom at all.

Seeds of Deceit cannot trigger Hyperbloom or Burgeon reactions and will not burst. When Nefer unleashes a Charged Attack or Phantasm Performance, she can absorb Seeds of Deceit within a certain range, gaining 1 stack of Veil of Falsehood for every seed absorbed. When this effect gains 3 stacks, or when the third stack's duration is refreshed, Nefer's Elemental Mastery will be increased by 100 for 8s. |

Nefer has some great constellations, providing significant DMG boosts for players wanting to vertically invest further into their Nefer. Generally speaking, assuming you already have Lauma, aim for C1 before R1, and then C2 after that if you want to continue investing into Nefer.
