Genshin Impact Tumult Subduer – New Endgame Explained!

HoYoverse is finally adding a long-awaited endgame system to Genshin Impact, answering the community’s calls for more challenging and lasting content. Unlike Honkai Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero, which feature various endgame activities that keep players engaged for months, Genshin’s options have been limited to the Abyss and the Imaginarium Theater. Now, that’s about to change.

The new endgame mode, called Tumult Subduer, promises new challenges, multiple difficulty levels, and exclusive rewards. With more challenge than the normal Abyss, and less heavy requirements than the Theater, this might be the update you’ve been waiting for! Here’s everything we know so far about Tumult Subduer!

A New Endgame Challenge

Genshin Impact has often been criticized for its lack of long-lasting endgame content. As mentioned before, other HoYoverse titles like Honkai Star Rail (HSR) and Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) have complex endgame activities that can take multiple patches to complete. Genshin mainly relies on the Abyss and Imaginarium Theater. However, these are often cleared quickly or have limitations that keep many players from participating.

Now, that’s about to change with the introduction of Tumult Subduer in version 5.7! Keep in mind that this information comes from Leaks, and adjustments may be made upon release!

According to the latest leaks, Tumult Subduer is a new endgame system with the following structure:

  • Five Difficulty Levels: Each one gets progressively harder.
  • Primogems Rewards: Primogems are rewarded for clearing levels 1 to 3.
  • Boss Types:
    • Levels 1-4 feature standard bosses.
    • Level 5 introduces enhanced mechanic bosses.
  • Time Limits and Co-op Options:
    • Levels 1-3: 10-minute timers per boss. You can reuse characters and join matchmaking for co-op.
    • Levels 4-5: Only 120 seconds per boss. Characters cannot be reused, and co-op is restricted to players in your world.
  • In co-op, boss HP is 150% of the original, regardless of the number of players.

How Do Rewards Work?

What makes Tumult Subduer special is the fact you can farm Domains through this endgame system. At the end of your run, you can choose an Artifact Domain and claim rewards through two methods:

  • Complete Level 3+: Use resin to claim a reward once.
  • First 10 Days of Each Phase: Spend an extra 20/40/60 resin to claim 1/2/3 rewards.
    • For every 120 resin spent through this method, you get 1 extra reward for free.
    • After spending 1200 resin, you will unlock an Unknown Reward.

Additionally, you will get other rewards depending on the difficulty level:

  • Levels 1-3: 150 Primogems per level (total of 450), along with Mora and Hero’s Wit (EXP materials).
  • Levels 4 and 5: Only Mora is rewarded.

The rewards may seem a bit underwhelming right now, but they could be adjusted before release. We will keep you updated if they do!
