If you watched Skirk’s official drip marketing video the moment it went live, you may have noticed something unusual: the music has changed.
Originally, the trailer featured a unique track with soft vocals playing subtly in the background-something distinctly different from the current version. Now, the video uses a more familiar theme with scores that more match Genshin Impact’s melodies.
Why the Change?
HoYoverse hasn’t publicly acknowledged the swap, but players who caught the first version were quick to compare the audio between uploads. The new version leans heavier into Skirk’s more otherworldly themes.
While the vocal track in the original was softer and more reminiscent of a lullaby, this track may instead be present in her future character trailers or as part of Skirk’s story quests. Some players have also noted that the JP version of Skirk’s trailer had no singing so it may have been an accidental reveal of a future track.
