How to Farm Cartridges and Modules in Neverness to Everness

NTE Rabbit Hole Main Character Esper Zero

A lot of Neverness to Everness players are already farming and building their characters, but the game does not do the best job at explaining where some of the gear systems really come from. You can quickly figure out where to farm Cartridges, since the game lets you access the Rabbit Hole domain pretty early on, but when it comes to Modules, they are much easier to miss, especially because their farming menu is somewhat “hidden” inside the character interface.

If you are starting to optimize your builds, here is a quick recap of where both come from and how they work.

How the Console System Works

In NTE, your character build is split between ARCs that act as your weapons, and Cartridges with their Modules that function as your main equipment. The Module system almost looks like fitting Tetris pieces together. Every Esper has a different Console layout, meaning certain shapes and combinations will fit differently depending on the character. On top of that, set bonuses only activate if the correct Module shapes are equipped, so building a character is not only about stats, but also about fitting the right modules together.

Where to Farm Cartridges

Cartridges are obtained from the Rabbit Hole challenge mode. The domain is located in Cape Square, on the right side of the map, south of the Midas ARC Workshop and Regalia Dealership, and each run costs 40 Character Pixels (the game’s stamina system).

At first, you will only have access to blue Cartridges, and as your character level increases and you progress through the game, you get access to the higher level stages, where you can obtain purple and then gold Cartridges.

Different stages also reward different types of Cartridges, so once you know the set your character needs, you can start targeting specific stages directly.

Where to Farm Modules

Modules are farmed separately through the Console menu itself. To access it, you need to open your character page, enter the Console section, and then you can select the Rewind option.

The available rewards depend on difficulty:

  • Easy: Blue Modules
  • Normal: Purple Modules
  • Hard: Gold Modules

Normal difficulty unlock through Hunter Level 20, and then Hard difficulty unlocks at Hunter Level 30.

Carrota Materials

Farming Modules do require a currency called Carrota. You mainly earn Carrota from Rabbit Hole stages, so you should get plenty of those as you farm for your Cartridges, since they drop from the same content. However, you can also get a few from:

  • Quest rewards
  • Progression rewards
  • Other City activities

So basically, you first want to unlock the Rabbit Hole Domain, then you can farm for the Cartridges you need for your team, and at the same time, you will accumulate Carrota coins for your Modules. Once you have your proper Cartridges, head to your character menu under the consoles, and select Rewind to farm for the proper Modules!
