The Neverness to Everness launch preview livestream just ended, giving us a final look at the game ahead of its official release on April 29.
As the last main showcase before launch, the stream covered everything that has changed since the most recent beta, including gameplay adjustments, system updates, and overall improvements. It should also outline what players can expect at launch, from available content and events to potential rewards and bonuses.

From gameplay mechanics and new features since the last beta, we gathered all the information you need to know so you can quickly catch up on everything revealed during the stream, and get yourself ready for launch!
The City Of Hethereau
The devs said it during the stream, Hethereau is a “sprawling, vibrant metropolis where the ordinary and the anomalous co-exist side by side.” This is your first stop as an Appraiser, and you will have to find your own way of life in this city.

In Hethereau, you will encounter supernatural Anomalies. Those are basically anything that is beyond the laws of reality as we know them. It can concern creatures, objects, phenomena, locations, and even memes. You might stumble into mysterious spaces, witness awe-inspiring supernatural phenomena, or come face to face with bizarre creatures.
On the other side, you can also run into friendly Anomaly residents or enjoy the everyday conveniences that Anomaly Products provide! Not all anomalies need to be taken care of; some are just friendly or helpful.

Anomalies seem to date back over a thousand years, according to the records. Secret organizations worked to contain them, and the most powerful of these became what was called “the Circle”. However, forty years ago, a massive Anomaly disaster forced everything into the open, and the Circle had to be revealed to the public.

The Circle’s enforcement arm, the Bureau of Anomaly Control, is responsible for containing and nullifying Anomalies, and their headquartes are located in Hethereau.
To detect Anomalies, there is a metric called the “Wertheimer Index” that measures Anomaly intensity, and you can find Wertheimer Towers all across the city.

Some characters also turn out to have unusual traits. They are called Espers or humans who have awakened supernatural abilities. Some are born with their powers, but others sometimes gain them later in life. At the same time, some of them will have a completely normal human look, but others will develop distinctly inhuman features after awakening, such as horns or animal-like features, for example. And on top of that, unlike other Anomalies, Espers trigger a positive Wertheimer Index value.

However, the protagonist of the game, Esper Zero, is the only exception. Zero has no detectable Wertheimer Index reading at all. Esper Zero joins the antique shop Eibon as an Appraiser, and with the help of the Espers, they will start a new life as an Anomaly Hunter.
Driving Features
Given the game is pretty massive, you can obviously not explore everything on foot, and because of that, you can obtain some really cool rides.

There will be a dealership that sells all kinds of slick rides. You can buy any of those with your in-game money and summon it whenever you need it. You can then drive with it pretty much everywhere, including into objects, but we do advise you to drive responsibly, because if you push your luck too hard, there will be heavy consequences!
There is also a mod shop where you can customize your car and modify its color or add things like stickers to it.
When you are driving, you can immerse yourself completely by switching to the 1st-person view to take in the scenery along the way!

On top of that, if you are in a rush and suddenly need a car, you can also just steal one. For those who play GTA, you know how this works, and for the others, it will be a lot of fun to find out.
And of course, cars are not the only cool rides you can obtain. There are things such as!
- Karting karts
- Wheelchairs
- Ice Cream trucks (always wanted to own one of those)
- Construction vehicles
- Hot Dog trucks
- Motorbikes
- And more
And of course, you invite characters to ride along with you as well, and since different passengers will have different reactions inside the car, it will make long drives way less lonely.

Other Gameplay Features
As mentioned before, if you are too reckless, you will get into trouble, and you can even end up behind bars. If this happens, yes, you will literally be in prison, and you can either post bail or work to get out of jail early. There is a third method, but you will have to test and see for yourself for that one!

You can find the following features in the game as well:

Launch Banners

The first banner of the game is Nanally:
- Her ability is tied to electromagnetic force, and her Esper attribute is Anima
- She has a powerful Redirect Skill, Colucci Howling Technique
- When activated, she deals DMG and enters the “Itch-daime’s Authority” state. In this state, she can use electromagnetic adhesion to walk freely on any tilted surface, even ceilings
- Her Ultimate deals Anima AoE DMG and summons the Underboss. When he is on the field, Nanally’s attacks pull in nearby enemies, and the Underboss follows up on all of Nanally’s attacks

The Second banner is Hotori:
- Her Esper Attribute is Cosmos
- When her ability activates, she controls the flow of time. This means that she can literally stop time
- Her time-stop also works during open-world exploration
- When Hotori joins a fight, a “Non-Closed Timepiece” appears that will build energy over time. When it is full, you can activate her Ultimate, dealing Cosmos DMG and unsheathing her katana. This will make the time around her slow to a near standstill
- Her katana attacks build Momentum, and once it is maxed out, she triggers a big Cosmos DMG burst that ends the time stop

Gacha System
Summoning characters in NTE works a bit differently than in other gacha games. You will get access to something called the Scarborough Fair, where you have two main boards:
- Limited Board
- Standard Board

Your goal is to roll the corresponding dice and move across the board to collect the rewards on each tile you land on, until you land on a character.
The Limited Fair has specific rules:
- Guaranteed currently featured S-class character within 90 rolls
- Guaranteed 1 additional 1-class character or 1-class Arc every 10 rolls
- 70 rolls without an S-class character triggers increased probability
- The base chance of getting an S-class per roll is 0.99%
- The pity counter carries over to all future Limited Boards
- On top of the character, you can also roll for things like a skin, vehicle livery, or a glider skin. After a certain amount of rolls, you can simply redeem the cosmetics directly from the Fair Exchange shop
This means that there is simply no 50/50 system, and that is honestly very good news! The Standard Board follows the same probability rules.
On top of that, you also get access to the Arc Research Program, where you can get specific S-class limited Arcs:
- Guaranteed featured Arc within 8 pulls
- Guaranteed S-class Arc within 6 pulls
- Every pull yields an A-class or higher Arc
- Every pull within the Arc Research Program costs Tri-Key x10
- Pity carries over as well
