With Neverness to Everness launching on April 29, the developers have shared a detailed roadmap of everything they are working on following player feedback from the last Co-Ex test, and it is a lot more than just minor fixes.

Rather than a small set of adjustments, the update goes over a lot of improvements across performance, gameplay systems, open-world content, and even story elements, showing that the team is treating the beta feedback seriously ahead of release.

A Focus on Performance

One of the biggest parts of the roadmap is the focus on overall performance. The team confirms that performance improvements are coming across PC, PlayStation, and mobile, alongside general bug fixes and stability upgrades.

There are also technical additions planned, including:

  • Ray tracing support
  • Fixes for display issues linked to Lumen
  • Improved controller feel and haptic feedback

This suggests the launch version should feel noticeably better compared to the test build.

Systems Are Being Reworked

Beyond performance, a lot of important main systems are getting meaningful updates as well, and that is much better than a few quick adjustments. For example, the UI is being refined, with changes to:

  • Character selection
  • The Awaken interface
  • Inventory size and management

At the same time, they are fixing the start of the game, including better tutorials and combat explanations for all characters, because that was definitely one of the common issues pointed out during testing.

Open World Activities Are Expanding

A big part of the roadmap also focuses on just making Hethereau feel more alive and varied. Multiple side activities are being upgraded with:

  • New modes (including single-player and multiplayer options)
  • Better rewards and pacing
  • Additional tracks, companions, and rankings for races

Even smaller systems like the housing feature and mini-games are being refined, and all this means that their goal is to make side content feel worth engaging with long-term, not just optional filler.

Combat, Characters, and Story

The update is not limited to systems either. Character and combat improvements are also in progress. The developers mention things such as:

  • Improved animations and overall combat
  • Better facial models and lip-syncing
  • Expanded character interactions in the open world

On top of that, a new A-Class character, Aurelia, will be added at launch, alongside new story episodes and additional encounters across the world.

More Than a Typical Pre-Launch Patch

What stands out here is the size of the improvements. This is not going to be a simple day-one patch, but more like a full set of changes based on beta feedback, covering nearly every part of the game.

The developers also hint at future features that are still being worked on, suggesting that what is planned for launch is only part of a larger roadmap. As a reminder, Neverness to Everness is releasing on April 29, 2026, with all these improvements expected to be in place by then.

If the team delivers on most of these changes, the launch version could feel significantly better than what players experienced during the Co-Ex test, and that is usually a good sign this close to release.
