Dune: Awakening – 2 Smart Tips You Probably Missed!

Dune: Awakening Combat

Partying in Dune: Awakening Just Got Easier

If you have been playing Dune: Awakening with friends, you probably know the pain of the “is that you?” simulator, when friendly fire is off but visual identification is still a mess.

Good news: there is a simple fix.

As pointed out by Reddit user travisrd, party members can have a number above their head, making it way easier to spot your squad. No more accidental headshots or group chat confusion:

If your party bugs out (which it still might), press P to open the party screen, then hold X to leave the group, even if the prompt does not show. After that, re-invite your crew, and you are good to go.

Crossing to East Vermillius? Do This First

Redditor ElectrissAu shared a quick but essential tip for anyone progressing past the Hagga Basin:

Before you make the trip to East Vermillius Gap (the part after building your bike), here is what you should do:

  • Talk to the pilot at Griffin’s Reach first
  • Store anything valuable – if a worm gets you mid-crossing, you will not lose much
  • Bring 700 Solaris for the return flight later

Once you arrive at The Anvil trading post (northeast of the new zone), you can fly back to Hagga Basin for 700 Solaris. From there, grab your stored valuables and fast travel back to The Anvil.

Yes, it is a little clunky, but it’s better than losing your entire inventory to a random worm death mid-crossing. Especially since many players are packing up their full base when moving to the next zone, which is… not ideal.

Both of these posts are great reminders that Dune: Awakening does not always explain things well, and the various online communities are doing a great job filling in the gaps. If you are just getting started or playing with friends, these two little changes can make a big difference.
