Helldivers 2 has recently released a new trailer in hopes of bringing in fresh recruits by showing off previously added cosmetics and weapons added in past updates. However, the new Helldivers 2 trailer also revealed that a crossover with Halo: ODST is on its way.
Helldivers 2 X Halo: ODST Crossover
Ever since the release of Helldivers 2, fans have been yearning for a crossover between Helldivers and Halo, specifically Halo: ODST, as the soldiers in both games share many similarities. Both feature soldiers who drop into the battlefield via drop pods from space and take on thousands of enemies while being in squads of four. While the tones of each game are quite different, the similarities are abundant.
In a recent trailer, fans were treated to a teaser featuring the iconic saxophone solo, set against a backdrop of a city shrouded in heavy rain. There have also been additional teasers, as the Helldivers 2 Discord has begun posting unknown signals, which are clear references to the Superintendent from New Mombasa in Halo: ODST.
Fans of both games are beyond hyped up. This is likely the biggest crossover request Helldiver fans have been requesting. However, this could be merely more than just a crossover.
You Know the Music. Time to Dance.
This crossover with Helldivers 2 might not be the only exciting news for the Halo franchise. Recently, dataminers have reported rumors of a new Halo game possibly coming to PlayStation consoles for the first time. Additionally, Helldivers 2 is set to release on Xbox on August 26th, which is likely when this crossover will begin.

This also isn’t the first bit of news revolving around Halo, as Fortnite recently dropped its second Halo collaboration. Halo Studio has also dropped a new audio log discussing ODST. There seems to be a lot building up for the Halo franchise as of late, with the promise of a new game reveal during the Halo World Championship in October.
