How Many Pulls Can You Expect on Launch in Arknights: Endfield?

With the release of the Arknights: Endfield‘s CBT2, players have been keeping track of how many pulls are available for Operators with the launch of Arknights: Endfield at the end of next month. This can help players understand what they can realistically expect when the game becomes available to everyone.

While these numbers are based on the 2nd Beta Test, rewards are not final and may be subject to change. Nonetheless, they still provide a useful look at the overall economy and how pulling is going to play out on launch.

In Arknights: Endfield, pulling for characters is referred to as Headhunting, and it is split into two distinct systems. Basic Headhunting uses blue Headhunting Permits (Standard Banner), while Chartered Headhunting, which is where premium and limited characters are obtained, relies on Origeometry, Ooberyl, and the yellow permits instead. Understanding how these currencies convert into pulls is vital to planning for launch.

How Many Pulls Are Available?

According to information shared on social media, players can obtain 98 of the blue Headhunting Permits, which are used exclusively for Basic Headhunting. Basic Headhunting primarily serves as an early roster builder and is the “standard banner” of Arknights: Endfield, allowing players to fill out their teams with a range of characters early on.

On top of that, players should recieve 35 permits for Chartered Headhunting as well as 138 more pulls from converting Origeometry and Oroberyl as a F2P player. When factoring in the paid version of the Battle Pass as well as monthly passes. Players can instead expect 161 via conversions and then 36 directly, totalling 197 pulls!

How Does This Compare to Other Gacha Games?

We can compare the amount of pulls with other recently released big Gacha Games. That being Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, Zenless Zone Zero and Wuthering Waves. Great members of the community have created “bookkeeping” spreadsheets which total the number of pulls available each patch:

  • Genshin Impact – 169 (Sheet)
  • Honkai: Star Rail – 214 (Sheet)
  • Zenless Zone Zero – 251 (Sheet)
  • Wuthering Waves – 254 (Sheet)

Ultimately, however, the number of pulls specifically do not matter. Instead, the overall pull-economy is much more significant in how the game feels. From character releases to pull rates, it all has an impact on the value of your pulls. For example, if a game gives more pulls but then releases characters rapidly and powercreeps them, your pulls will not go as far unless you specifically skip to E2 Anniversary Characters Castorice.

Will The Amount of Pulls Change?

There is a very high chance that these numbers change over the next month as we enter the release of the game. It is important to stress that all of these figures are derived from Beta Test II data and therefore adjustments are still possible before launch. A common piece of feedback given has been that players feel they need more pulls; however, the endgame has not fully opened up, which may just be the extra income people need.
