How to Play With Friends in ARC Raiders

If you are planning to play ARC Raiders with friends, and wondering how to squad up, here is how the party system works, and what the “Fill” option actually does.

From a coordinated drop to exploring the Rust Belt with friends, ARC Raiders makes it fairly easy to group up, once you know where to look!

Inviting and Adding Friends

As mentioned, making a party with friends in ARC Raiders is really not complicated. Here is what you need to look out for:

  • From the main menu, before you click “Play”
  • Look for your profile icon and a small “+” symbol on top of the Play button
  • Click the + to open your friends list, where you can see who is online, send friend requests, or create a party.

To start a squad, just click on someone’s name and send an invite. When they join, you will see them appear in your party in the main menu.

Every member has to ready up before a match begins, then the party leader will decide when the raid starts.

Playing Solo or Filling In

If you prefer to drop in alone, you can still use matchmaking. The game should put you against other Solo players.

However, if your friends are not available, but you still want to play with others, there is also a “Fill Squad” option. This will automatically pair you with other players who also selected this. It is a simple way to form a temporary squad without having to add anyone manually.

In order to toggle this on, it is also in the main menu, right on top of the Play button:

Crossplay Settings

On the same menu, you can toggle Crossplay on or off. Keeping it enabled gives you a bigger pool of Raiders to encounter, but disabling it can make things a little quieter, especially on consoles.

Playing together is really easy on the Rust Belt, so get your squad ready and head topside! It is quick and smooth once you know where to find the party options. You can also complete certain missions together, and maybe even kill the Queen with your friends!
