Marvel Rivals is back, and with its biggest seasonal trailer yet. For Marvel Rivals Season 8, fans are finally getting their first look at Cyclops, Moon Girl, and Devil Dinosaur. Although the Time Plague no longer grips Lower Manhattan. Alchemax Headquarters stands defiant, and a new conspiracy has begun. Season 8, the Alchemax conspiracy begins on May 15th.
The Sins of Alchemax
Fans have waited a long time for Cyclops, aka Scott Summers, to arrive in Marvel Rivals, especially after teases sparked speculation that he would join sometime after Season 6. Meanwhile, players have also continued to speculate about Devil Dinosaur and Moon Girl ever since Deadpool was announced.
With Season 8 introducing the Alchemax building, there’s a strong likelihood we’ll see more characters surrounding Spider-Man, likely in the 2099 timeline.
Devil Dinosaur Joins Marvel Rivals
Despite Cyclops being the center of attention in the new Season 8 trailer, the first character players are getting this season is actually Devil Dinosaur. DD is Marvel Rivals newest Vanguard. Not only is he one of the biggest playable characters so far, but he also has one of the biggest health pools with a massive 850 HP.
Yet despite being a giant dinosaur, DD actually has a few ranged options, including a laser breath, a leap to close the gap, and a bubble shield for those critical moments. Plus, it’s always nice whenever Marvel Rivals adds more melee-focused characters to keep the roster more diverse between the new ranged or flying characters.
However, it is funny that we now have two characters that players abbreviate as DD: Daredevil and Devil Dinosaur.
