Where Winds Meet includes one of the most useful systems in the game, and a huge number of players do not even realize it is there.
The game can be quite complicated, especially for new players who are maybe not used to this type of game. There are a ton of weapons, systems, features, and all types of content in Where Winds Meet, and it is easy to get lost or not know what or how to play.
So, if you have been confused about the weapons, or what type of gear you need, or where to farm, the game actually has a built-in feature that shows you exactly how to build your character and where to farm your gear.
Where to Find the Hidden Build Menu
This feature is not hard to access, but it is hiding somewhere you do not necessarily think about clicking on. All you need to do is:
- Open your main Menu
- Go to Develop
- Look to the right side for the Improvement Guide, under the numbers and details

From there, open the Combination tab, which acts as a full build recommendation system.
You Can Pick Full Playstyles, Not Just Vague Tips
Inside the combination menu, you can choose from several pre-made build styles:
- DPS melee combat (three variations)
- Tank melee combat
- DPS ranged combat
- Healer ranged combat

The ones recommended are the best builds you can currently do in the game. They are not random base recommendations, so feel free to use them if you want something efficient in the long run!
Of course, nothing prevents you from doing your own build. Many other combinations also work perfectly fine, especially if you play solo; it can be good to mix and match with one healing weapon and a DPS or Tank one. If you want to know which build is more efficient in PvE or PvP, you can also check out our build recommendations!
The Game Tells You Exactly What to Equip
Once you select a build, it shows you everything you need:
- Recommended weapons
- Best Mystic Skills
- Suggested Inner Ways
- Full gear set recommendations
- Main stats you should prioritize
For example, the Tank Melee Combat “Stonesplit-Might” build recommends the Thundercry Blade and Stormbreaker Spear, alongside four Inner Ways that synergize perfectly with that playstyle. Once you have decided which build you want, you can use the Set as Goal feature:

When you enable it, the game actively guides your progression by showing:
- Which bosses and content drop your target gear
- What pieces to prioritize
- Which rewards to pick from gear chests
It basically works like an in-game farming tracker, so you do not need to alt-tab to external guides.
The Game Has a Full Tutorial Hub… If You Know Where To Look
On top of the build system, there is another hidden feature in the main menu.
Near the top of the menu, next to the mail icon, there is a small bird icon that opens a full library of tutorials covering every major system and mechanic in the game.

If you have ever felt lost in Where Winds Meet, this single menu turns the game into its own personal guide. This is especially useful for mini-game tutorials or puzzle explanations, but it also covers a lot of various other things!
