Why ANANTA’s Customization Options Are Huge

Character customization can make or break an RPG, and ANANTA looks like it is aiming for the top tier. A few clips recorded at Tokyo Game Show 2025 shows off its dressing and styling menu, and it is surprisingly in-depth.

From hats and glasses down to socks and shoes, nearly every part of your character can be customized! Even though the footage is short, it is enough to get us excited even more for the game! This might be one of the most flexible systems we have seen in a Gacha game.

A Glimpse from TGS

As mentioned, a few new video clips were shared on social media that show the customization options in the game. One thing is already clear: you will not be locked into preset outfits or styles.

Head-to-Toe Options

From what we saw, customization covers a lot:

  • Hats, hair, glasses or eyewear
  • Clothes across many categories (tops, bottoms, layers)
  • Shoes, socks
  • Accessories, possibly belts, jewelry, etc.

It is reminding me of Infinity Nikki-level depth. There will definitely be plenty of options for players to play with.

Games that let players truly personalize their characters tend to feel more immersive. When choices are not just cosmetic but part of your identity in the game world, it adds a connection. ANANTA showing off that kind of range this early is a strong sign of developer attention to detail.

It is also not often that we get to customize our characters in a Gacha game. Most of the time, you are stuck with a protagonist that decided to constantly wear the same outfit.

What We Still Don’t Know

  • How many options per category (e.g. number of hat styles, color palettes)
  • If these are purely cosmetic or if some items have gameplay effects
  • If there will be DLC or paid outfits
  • If there are restrictions (e.g. gender-locked outfits, layering limits)

The short clip has already got players talking. A lot of people are hyped about how many options there might be, but there is also a fair bit of doubt. Since ANANTA’s gacha is tied to cosmetics, many worry that the coolest outfits will end up paywalled.

Some are also side-eyeing the menu, wondering if it is just showing categories that will feel empty at launch, like a couple of plain shirts and basic accessories instead of a huge wardrobe.

Some people also fear the cool items will be paywalled, since the gacha will be around the customization options. For now, the community seems split: half excited, half skeptical, waiting to see if ANANTA really delivers!
