The pre-download for the Titan Reforged server “Chronos” is now available. Today, we’re sharing several upcoming economy-related changes in the Chronos realm, including new currencies, streamlined reputation and professions, and a new dynamic loot system for world bosses. These updates aim to reduce grind and let all kinds of players jump into exploration and combat more easily and quickly.

New Exchange Currencies: Join the Fight Faster
Titan Shards
Titan Shards are a brand-new currency in the Chronos realm. They primarily come from non-repeatable quests and extra rewards from the Dungeon Finder. The higher the level of the quest or dungeon, the greater the shard rewards.
Titan Shards can be used to purchase crafting materials from profession vendors. As your character levels up, the variety of items available from these vendors will expand, providing a more stable source for skill leveling and gear crafting.
Titan Embers
Titan Embers replace the old currencies such as Emblems of Valor, Heroism, Conquest, Triumph, and Frost, offering players a more flexible way to acquire gear.
You can earn Titan Embers through Heroic Dungeons, Raid Bosses, Wintergrasp PvP, Arenas, Battlegrounds, and other activities. They can also be exchanged from currencies like Honor Points, Arena Points, and Stone Keeper’s Shards.
Titan Embers can be used to buy PvP trinkets and various pieces of gear that were previously obtainable with different emblems in earlier versions of WoW Classic. This makes gearing alts much easier, whether you prefer PvP or PvE content.
Additionally, Dalaran will now host two new vendors: one selling resistance gear for Titan Embers, and another offering set item exchanges.
The new currency system makes it easier to gather resources and provides a reliable catch-up path for alts. Titan Embers can also be converted into Titan Shards at a fixed rate, giving players more flexibility.
*Note: The previously announced “Sigil of Order” has been reworked into Titan Shards and Titan Embers.
Reputation Simplified: No More Enchant Requirements, Faster Gains
We’ve removed the reputation requirements for head and shoulder enchants, and simplified the unlocking process overall. You can also purchase reputation tokens for each faction from Titan Ember vendors to speed up your progress significantly.
This change frees players from tedious reputation grinds, allowing you to pick the enchants you want and get straight to the real challenges.
Professions Overhauled: Easier Crafting, Better Gathering Rewards
Professions remain an important part of character growth in the Chronos realm, but material acquisition will now be easier and some crafting restrictions have been lifted.
For example, in Engineering, high-level bombs, Goblin Sapper Charges, and Nitro Boosts no longer require specific Engineering levels to use. Even players without the profession can now use them, greatly reducing profession lock-in, while keeping special items with unique functionality exclusive to engineers.
Gathering professions like Mining, Herbalism, and Skinning now have a chance to directly yield Titan Shards during collection, creating a new economy loop: Gather → Exchange Materials → Sell.
To further simplify gearing, some raid bosses in the Chronos realm have been adjusted. Certain (but not all) pieces of gear that previously required profession recipes will now drop directly as completed items, allowing players to gear up and jump into combat faster.
These updates aim to preserve the flavor of professions while giving players more freedom and multiple viable paths instead of a single “best” route.
Dynamic World Boss Loot: Fairer Rewards for Every Raid
In the Titan Reforged “Chronos” server, world bosses from Classic and The Burning Crusade have been upgraded to level 80 and will feature a new dynamic loot system. The number of drops will depend on how many level 80 characters in the raid haven’t yet defeated that boss for the week, with a few conditions:
- If too few eligible players are present, the boss won’t drop any loot, and no lockout will apply to the group.
- Once a minimum threshold is met, loot will drop proportionally to the number of eligible players.
- Non–level 80 characters won’t count toward the calculation and won’t receive any loot.
This system gives players more flexibility in forming raids of various sizes and ensures rewards are distributed more fairly.
