Diablo 2 Upscale Final Demo Working In-Browser Diablo 2 Upscale Final Demo Working In-Browser We've already talked about the fan-made Diablo 2 AI upscale project run by redditor zomprd and took a look at some still images and creature models, but today we have his finished demo to check out! His second and final version of the browser-based sample shows off the Rogue Encampment with an Assassin walking around the place. You can also switch back and forth from the original game look and the new upscale, just to see what exactly has changed. Also, if you've ever really waned to walk around in the stream in the encampment, you can! Blizzard Blizzard 2 comments Jan 21, 2020 at 19:59 by Starym
Mists of Pandaria and WC3: Reforged 8K Upscaled Cinematics Mists of Pandaria and WC3: Reforged 8K Upscaled Cinematics There's more AI upscales incoming, with one pretty cool one and another weird one as well. MoP got the much-deserved higher res version, especially appropriate since 8.3 has us going back to Pandaria, while the Reforged video is doubly weird as it's already a remaster of the original so we're 3 layers deep here. Both also have an additional upgrade to the originals: they're running at 60 fps. Blizzard Blizzard 1 comment Jan 19, 2020 at 08:00 by Starym
Diablo 2 Median XL Mod Patch 1.40 Released Diablo 2 Median XL Mod Patch 1.40 Released We've recently talked about the Path of Diablo mod that improves the game by adding and tuning some skills items and features, but still keeps things as close as possible to the original (LoD) version of the game (and the new season that's come out for it recently). Today we have a new and huge patch for probably the best, biggest and most popular mod for D2 out there, Median XL (or Median XL: Sigma as the more recent versions have been called).

Calling it a mod might be a bit of an understatement, however, as it's basically a complete overhaul and rework, with massive amounts of new skills (35 new ones PER CLASS), items (thousands, crafting), mechanics, content (40 endgame quests, new zones like Heaven and one quest actually has you traveling back in time and playing as Diablo while trying to defeat the Bear Tribe in order to break into the Worldstone Chamber. No, seriously.)

Path of Diablo (2) Season 9 Brings a New Skill, Widescreen Support, Trade 2.0 and More Path of Diablo (2) Season 9 Brings a New Skill, Widescreen Support, Trade 2.0 and More The Path of Diablo mod and server for Diablo 2 is entering its 9th season this month which will bring many new improvements to the game. If you're not familiar with the mod, its main goal is to keep the game as close to the original D2 as possible, while actively balancing weaker skills and items and adding a few new ones here and there. The mod already featured many QoL improvements like a larger stash and a charm-specific inventory, a new endgame system of relics that open portals to harder dungeons, as well as a whole lot of balancing and tweaking for the less used skills of each class - for example Fist of the Heavens has had its cooldown removed. You can ready more about the mod in their official FAQ as well. Blizzard Blizzard 3 comments Jan 12, 2020 at 05:15 by Starym

WoW Classic Not a Bug List Update: January 7th WoW Classic "Not a Bug" List Update: January 7th The Juju Flurry buff works just like Seal of the Crusader in that it increases your Attack Speed, but at the same time, lowers your DPS by the same amount. Blizzard filed a bug for this behavior which wasn't fixed until the Burning Crusade pre-patch, so the current behavior is not a bug. WoW Classic WoW Classic Jan 07, 2020 at 19:53 by Stan

Diablo 2 Fan Remaster / Upscale Project Diablo 2 Fan Remaster / Upscale Project As we've recently found out that an official Diablo 2 Remaster is very unlikely/almost impossible, this fan-made project is all the more relevant, despite the very early stages of development. Redditor zomprd has taken several steps in the long road to remastering the classic, with some impressive images and animations so far. Blizzard Blizzard 3 comments Jan 05, 2020 at 06:27 by Starym
Warcraft 3 E3 Trailer, Diablo 2 LoD Final Cinematic and Overwatch 2 4 and 8K Remasters Warcraft 3 E3 Trailer, Diablo 2 LoD Final Cinematic and Overwatch 2 4 and 8K Remasters We have quite a few more Blizzard upscales, with the most interesting one being the official Warcraft 3 E3 trailer from 2001, showing off the biggest improvement of the bunch, even at "only" 4k. Then we have another Diablo 2 cinematic, this time with the Lord of Destruction expansion's finale, and finally another weird choice with the very recent Overwatch 2 announcement video. A Classic Art Journey Alliance Side and More A Classic Art Journey Alliance Side and More We have some holiday treats as Vlad Harabagiu aka Valdihr, the artist behind the massively impressive animated series-style Classic Journey art pieces, has been going at it relentlessly since the last time we checked in. The big news is that, as promised, he's moved to the Alliance side for a while to give us his take on their questing experience, but also made it to 20 in his original Horde-focused series, with a short Scarlet Monastery video in there as well! Warcraft 3: Reforged Release Date Is Januay 28th 2020 Warcraft 3: Reforged Release Date Is Januay 28th 2020 We finally have the Warcraf 3: Reforged release date and it actually won't be coming this year, as was previously announced. We won't have to wait that much longer, however, as we'll be replaying the classic at the end of January, on the 28th, to be precise. We also have the global release times listed, so you know when exactly it will unlock. The header image of a pre-tragedy Stratholme is also a very nice touch for the announcement. Battle for Azeroth and Diablo 1 8K Upscaled Cinematics Battle for Azeroth and Diablo 1 8K Upscaled Cinematics We've seen some pretty impressive stuff with these AI upscales, but today we have two videos that didn't quite come out that great. First off there's the BfA intro cinematic which didn't really need to be remade at all as it's very recent, and apart from those fringe cases where you either have a projector or 8K screen, there's mostly no difference at all, and it even looks worse in parts if you focus on some of the textures.
