Classic Anniversary realms will be offline for 24 hours starting January 12th, before the release of TBC pre-patch on January 13th.
Realm Transfer services will also be impacted when maintenance begins. Transfers from Classic Anniversary to Classic era (to keep characters from moving onto TBC), and Anniversary Hardcore to Regular Anniversary realms (to let them go into TBC) will no longer be possible once maintenance begins.

Update Schedule for Anniversary Realms
The Burning Crusade Classic is coming to Anniversary realms, with the Burning Crusade pre-patch arriving next week. Please take note of the following schedule of events.
24-Hour Maintenance for Anniversary realms
In the Americas and Oceania region, starting at 3:00 p.m. PST on Monday, January 12, we will take all Anniversary realms offline for maintenance.
Following a 24-hour maintenance period, Anniversary realms will come back online with the Burning Crusade Classic pre-patch.
Realm Transfer Notices
Free character transfers from Anniversary Realms to Classic Era realms will close when Anniversary Realms are taken offline for maintenance.
After that time, players will no longer be able to move their Classic Anniversary characters to Classic Era realms, and characters remaining on Classic Anniversary realms will continue to Burning Crusade Classic.
Until the maintenance period begins, players with characters on Anniversary Hardcore realms can transfer their characters to Normal (non-Hardcore) Anniversary realms, so that those characters will continue to Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary.
If you wish to transfer your character from a Normal Anniversary Realm to a Classic Era realm (character doesn’t advance to Burning Crusade Classic), or from an Anniversary Hardcore realm to a Normal Anniversary realm (character does advance to Burning Crusade Classic, and is no longer a Hardcore character), please do so as soon as possible. Players who wait until the last minute to transfer characters may encounter issues or delays.
Thank you!
