The item level squish is here, and it seems it didn’t quite manage to cover everything. Players found some very unsquished items and used their incredible power to take down Mythic bosses!
Timewalking Indeed
The culprit was a Timewalking vendor, as Warlords of Draenor is active at the moment. It seems their items somehow avoided getting squished and remained at the War Within numbers, a cool 500 or so item levels above the maximum currently available post-squish.
Initially spotted by Imahich69, the items were very quickly removed, but not before some… enterprising individuals managed to get their hands on them and destroy pretty much any boss ever.
And in case you were wondering how that would look like in the logs, it’s a breezy 2.2 million damage and 18-second kills!
What exactly will happen to players who used this bug is unclear. Some expect only the items they got to be removed, while others are talking about bans as well. What do you think the consequences for players who used this gear should be?
