701 Belts Already? WoW’s D.I.S.C. Upgrade is Getting Skipped Again

It’s happening again! WoW has a bit of a history with certain players skipping weekly gated upgrades, and it seems the new Delve belt is no exception!

701 a Week Early

The Durable Information Securing Container iconDurable Information Securing Container, aka D.I.S.C. belt from Overcharged Delves, has a weekly upgrade quest. Over 4 weeks, it goes from item level 691 to 701 by using Titan Memory Card iconTitan Memory Cards, and we’re in week 3. That should equal a 697 item level. However, there are players who are already at the cap!

No_Reply6673 is one such player, getting a little baffled when they noticed that 7 in the first digit of the belt’s item level!

This isn’t the only player to have a maxed-out belt already either. Many report seeing others with a 701 item level. This has been happening a lot with these time-gated upgrades. We’ve seen players get early upgrades for the belt specifically in previous weeks as well. Those may be the same ones that now have a 701. But in the case of No_Reply6673, at least, the leap happened this week.

There are many theories as to how this happens, from faction transferring resetting the quest, and similar resets, but it’s not exactly clear whether this was the case. Interestingly, in the case of No_Reply6673, this only happened to one of their characters, so whatever the issue is, it isn’t account-wide.

Whatever the reason may be, Blizzard don’t typically change these unintended “skips”, so to those that got them – enjoy!
