A new secret has been discovered by the sharp minds of the WoW Secret Finding & Collections Discord. This secret involves a decade-old mystery location. Where does it lead? We shall find out!
How to Reach the Secret Area in Vashj’ir
The secret involves a location that has been a mystery in WoW ever since the Cataclysm expansion release: The mysterious pearl all the way in the fatigue zone in southern Vashj’ir. To reach this secret room, you need to swim past fatigue waters in the zone to reach the pearl.

Here’s a quick tutorial on how to reach the secret area:
- Head to the Abyssal Depths zone of Vashj’ir, and go to the southern end of the Abandoned Reef, on the southwest end of the zone.
- From there, ascend to the surface, switch your flight style to Steady Flight, mount up, and fly straight south until you start seeing the Fatigue bar.
- Back up a little bit until the Fatigue bar disappears. Land in the water, switch to an Aquatic Mount (if you have access to the
Otterworldly Ottuk Carrier mount, it serves as both a Flying and Aquatic mount), and start swimming straight down. You will see a giant skeleton at the bottom of the ocean. - Keep swimming down and backing up as you enter a Fatigue zone. Eventually, the background in the zone will swap from gray to dark blue, and the Vashj’ir pearl will be visible.
- Swim straight to the pearl. You should be able to reach it as your Fatigue bar is about to be fully depleted.
- You do not need to interact with the pearl – Touching it will teleport you to the secret area.
You can use the video below as a reference to reach the pearl.

- /way #13 26.45 70.60 Safe Zone
- /way #13 26.45 71.67 Pearl
Join the Cabal of the Mind-Seekers
The secret area you’re sent to looks just like the Seat of Knowledge area of the Valley of Eternal Blossoms, but with a twist: It is full of pillars showing secrets and members of the Cabal of the Mind-Seekers.

For now, all you can really do here is obtain a secret Feat of Strength:
Mind-Seeker, which awards the title Mind-Seeker. To obtain this achievement, you must speak to Anakron in the room. If you have met his criteria, he will have a dialogue option, I am ready. After a short dialogue introducing you to the Cabal of the Mind-Seekers, you will receive the Feat of Strength.

Anakron’s Hidden Criteria
The Secret Finding Discord has already uncovered Anakron’s hidden criteria for the Mind-Seeker achievement: You must have completed at least 17 WoW secrets for Anakron to introduce you to the Cabal. Each completed secret is displayed in the Seat of Knowledge secret area as a purple hologram.
The folks at Secret Finding Discord have made a bird’s-eye view of the room and marked the locations of all secret displays, so you can see what you’re missing.

Here is a list of the secrets required by Anakron’s criteria.

What is the Cabal of the Mind-Seekers? Where Does This Lead?
The Cabal of the Mind-Seekers is a group of individuals who are bound by curiosity. They have been teased for some time in WoW, starting with the
Riddler’s Mind-Worm secret mount back in Legion. Their most recent appearance happened in Legion Remix, with the Hooded Supplier NPC in the Infinite Bazaar revealing himself to be named Anakron and representing the Cabal.
As of right now, it is currently unknown if there is anything beyond the hidden Feat of Strength and Title. Our only clue right now is in Anakron’s dialogue, as one of his options mentions something called “Oddsight”, and he seems surprised we would even know about it. He did leave us with a clue, though…

At any rate, we are able to set our Hearthstone to the Cabal area with Jeremy Feasel, which likely means we are meant to return to that secret area at some point. This could be the start of a new long-form secret, and if it’s as exciting as the hunt for the Incognitro Felcycle was, we’re in for a treat!
