A Really Cold Flame: Trading Post Cosmetics Missing/Invisible

Starym's Avatar by Starym

June is definitely one of the hotter months as Summer starts. However, Blizzard seem to have implemented that very literally when it comes to some of the Trading post offers for the month!

Exposed!

Players have been reporting that the cold part of the fire and ice Ensemble: Coldflame Battlegear iconEnsemble: Coldflame Battlegear is a bit chiller than expected. It seems something went awry and parts of the look are missing or invisible. The chest piece and boots do appear in the item list. However, as you can see below, they aren’t what you’d call “visible”. Players are getting the error message “can’t be used on Dracthyr”, regardless of their race when trying to transmog the two pieces.

To make matters more interesting, the flame counterpart is working fine for most, with both the chest and boost showing. However, there are a few players commenting that the fire version has the same issue for them.

Now, with Summer coming to Azeroth as well, the lack of a chest piece and boots may be a boon! Perhaps Blizzard thought the air-conditioning effect of wearing ice all around your body was a little too much and were worried our characters might get heat shock when we take the armor off. Although why exactly the fiery version remains fully clothed is a mystery. Surely they’ll boil in there!

Not Just the Armor?

Jokes aside, there are reports of other issues with the Trading Post items for the month. While we can’t confirm them, players mentioned issues like the mounts not appearing in the mount journal, needing to be summoned by typing the /cast command manually. There aren’t many reports of this so it may be an addon or similar issue instead of an actual bug.

This should be an easy and fast fix when Blizzard spots it, so hopefully we see something in the hotfix notes soon. Have you had any issues with the Trading Post lately?
