An Almost Completely Solid Meta: Tank and Healer Log Rankings, Week 7

Starym's Avatar by Starym

We most certainly have a meta for the tanks and healers almost entirely set, as this week sees very little movement all over! We do have some specs rising and falling in almost all the charts, and we’re taking a peek into to very high keys for healers, so there’s still plenty to check out.

Warcraft Logs Points

The below logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing. This means that they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor. It is a much, much smaller factor, granting only a few points for significantly faster completions compared to just any in-time finish. We’re also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity. This means that the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point

Tanks, All Percentiles

We’re heading into the very stable part of the season (barring tuning), and the tanks showcase this very well. We have only one position change since last week, with Guardian pulling itself out of the gutter and besting Blood for the penultimate spot. Paladin is doing a little better in the lower percentiles, and Brewmaster is gaining on Prot Warrior as well.

Healers, All Percentiles

We also see only one positional shift with the healers, as Preservation moves up a notch, beating out Mistweaver for 4th place. Druid is catching up to Shaman in the battle of the Restorations, especially in the higher percentiles, so we may be seeing a new No.1 soon.

Very High Key Raw HPS Numbers

We’re taking a look at some raw healing numbers in high keys (14-21)for the healers, courtesy of Mythicstats. Here we see a very different picture from the completion rates above, as the top raid spec is also at the top here, and Disc is also pumping! Now, obviously, there are far more factors than just HPS to take into account for the best healers, but it’s still interesting to check out the raw numbers nonetheless.

Manaforge: Omega Raid, Mythic

Note: We are using normalized scores instead of raw DPS for the Warcraft Logs rankings. Normalized scores take into account the outlier boss fights where certain specs could stack massive DPS (due to the nature of the fight, whether it’s AoE spam or something else), which would then affect their overall score for the whole raid.

Healer HPS, All Percentiles

We’re moving the healers into first place here as their data is more relevant in the raids, being actual HPS. And here we have another single mover spec, this time around featuring Paladin, as the holy ones move ahead of Resto Shaman into 4th place. Meanwhile, Preservation is widening its lead at the top making its No.1 spot very secure.

Tank DPS, All Percentiles

And for the final, and least relevant chart, we have 0 changes in the rankings! The top four specs are all doing better than last week, while Paladin and Druid actually drop off a bit.
