Arator’s Search for Relics of the Light Through WoW’s History Leads to Arcantina Unlock

While Midnight’s epic launch campaign has its own big series of quests, the expansion also brings other storylines with it. One was recently highlighted by Blizzard, as Arator, Alleria and Turalyon’s son, gets to go on his own adventure.

He will be visiting some familiar old locations while searching for relics of the Light to help the Sunwell’s defenders. He will also be examining his relationship with his parents and the Light itself, while journeying through places like Light’s Hope Chapel, Scarlet Monastery, Hammerfall, Blackrock Mountain, and more.

Aside from just joining Arator on this personal journey, players who finish the questline will also unlock the new social and quest hub in Midnight, the Arcantina! The refurbished Hearthstone tavern that was dormant since Battle for Azeroth is back and will become an evergreen location where many quests will be added over time. Here’s an overview of the new feature.

One of the available paths through the Midnight campaign, players will undertake a new questline alongside Arator, son of Turalyon and Alleria Windrunner. At the request of Alonsus Faol, you’ll recruit Arator for this continent-spanning adventure to seek out relics of the Light used by priests and paladins at the Sunwell when their reserves run dry.

Arator’s mission brings new experiences to familiar locations, all while he takes another kind of journey grappling with his relationships with both his family and the Light.

Oh, the Places You (and Arator) Will Go

Here are just some of the places you’ll travel to:

  • Seek out relics of early paladins at Light’s Hope Chapel and defend it from Scourge attack.
  • Fight through the darkened corridors of Scarlet Monastery to put to rest those who would use the Light for their own hateful deeds.
  • Work with Sunwalker Dezco in Hammerfall to help Arator discover the paladin he aspires to be.

Arator’s story reaches its climax in the shadow of Blackrock Mountain, where alongside the Sons of Lothar he must face the weight of his father’s legacy and decide once and for all which path to take as a servant to the Light.

At the end of your journey, you’ll also encounter the Arcantina for the first time. It is a refuge for the weary, gathering spot, and tavern to both Horde and Alliance.

Whichever path you take, all roads lead to an impending confrontation with Xal’atath and the Void. We look forward to seeing you in Azeroth!
