Balance Bouncing Back, BM Destroying in High Keys After Tuning: Week 5 Mythic+ Logs

Starym's Avatar by Starym

It’s a big week in the dungeons as we see a lot of change. The tuning pass hasn’t stirred things up too much at the top yet, but Balance is doing a lot better in particular, and Beast Mastery is destroying in the high keys! Havoc and Elemental are rising without any tuning help, so let’s see where things ended up.

Warcraft Logs Points

The below logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing. This means that they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor. It is a much, much smaller factor, however. It grants only a few points for significantly faster completions compared to just any in-time finish. We’re also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity. This means that the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.

95th percentile DPS

We see a new spec brave the top 3 this week as Havoc moves past Subtlety to grab the No.3 spot! Feral, Outlaw, and Fury remain together and stable, while we see movement in the lower half of the top 10. Balance is using its buffs well, gaining two spots in 8th, while Elemental one-ups the Druid with its three-spot leap, and without any tuning help either! Marksmanship has them both beat in the upwards mobility category with its 4-spot move, grabbing the final top 10 spot.

Unholy gets kicked out of the top 10, but only slightly, while Assassination drops 4 spots to 12th. Beast Mastery begins its long climb out of dead last, but “only” manages to move up 5 spots this past week. Frost Mage claims the bottom throne as the Hunter departs, and Arms sticks with it. Augmentation’s buff wasn’t enough to keep it from sliding down into the bottom 3 after BM left.

All Percentiles

We see Havoc moving up here as well, this time into 4th as it only manages to unseat Unholy, which holds on a lot better in the generalist bracket, only dropping the one spot. Balance grabs two spots and moves ahead of its fellow Druid, as Fury drops a huge 5 spots down into 12th. Shadow grabs the opportunity and moves two up into 9th, while Elemental is the bug winner of the week, skyrocketing 7 spots into 10th! Retribution also gains a lot of ground, reaching just outside the top 10 with its 3-spot leap. Beast Mastery gains 4 spots here but ends up higher, as it was doing better before the buffs.

Specific Keys

Frost DK knocks Havoc out of the top, and Elemental rises in 7s. Fire and Frost DK gain a lot of ground in 10s, while Balance shows its biggest progress starting in 12s. Fury is still doing well, and even gaining in 15s, where Arcane takes over.

Very High Key Raw DPS Numbers

Note: We’re also taking a look at the raw damage numbers from Mythicstats. They take the top runs for extremely high keys (+13-20) from WarcraftLogs and list the overall DPS for the dungeon, which includes non-combat time as well. They’re ranked by the average DPS numbers, with the very top of the top shown next to it.

We see Fury’s high-end key performance confirmed here, as it moves into the top 3 and takes Arcane down a peg. The top players very much took notice of BMs buffs, jumping it an insane 18(!) spots into 5th! Elemental’s potential was also discovered, as it gains 10 spots, while Outlaw and Unholy drop the most.
