Blizzard Teases Spooky New Game Mode for World of Warcraft at PAX East

During PAX East, Blizzard hinted at a brand-new game mode in development for World of Warcraft, and while details remain under wraps, the team confirmed that it’s not battle royale.

Associate Game Director Jeremy Feasel shared the tease during a panel discussion, suggesting that the upcoming game mode will lean into darker, horror-inspired themes and storytelling.

When you look closely at the featured news image, you can spot Darkshire in it! During Dragonflight, Blizzard’s SceneScripts included information about a Vampire Survival Mode that has never been implemented in the game. Could that be what Feasel was teasing?

One of the SceneScripts was named “10.2.5 – VS Mode – Game Mode – Client Scene (OJF)“.

Here’s a short clip from PAX East about the teased game mode!
