It’s been a bit of a rough night if you’ve been trying to get a character onto the Midnight Beta, as both character copy and the template characters have been having issues. Blizzard have been working on solutions and seem to have made some progress. The latest changes should make it possible to both copy and create new template characters, albeit with a possible delay. Here are the full details.
We’ve made some server changes and are now processing the queue faster than it’s growing, but there is a bit of a backlog to churn through. For example, I just made a template character and that was nearly instant, and my copy appeared to fail but by the time I logged onto another character and back out, it was done.
We keep looking into this tomorrow if reports continue overnight, but things are trending positively for now. Thanks for being patient!
