Dastardly Duos enters its second week, and there’s plenty to do in the new event. The weekly rewards have been showcased in-game, the rewards upgraded. But there’s more to grab from the event, with one particular Achievement needing you to die.. a lot, and in a specific way!
Feat of… Strength?
Grayvves pointed out one particularly interesting Feat of Strength available in Dastardly Duos, which is more of a feat of weakness. Boot Hill wants you to die a whole lot, but then win in the end! During the event you and other players leave behind tombstones when you die, and you need to rack up 30 of them before eventually winning the match.
In case you weren’t aware, Feats of Strength are special Achievements that are only available for a limited amount of time and are then gone forever. They have their own section in the Achievements tab as well, and don’t add any Achievement points.
The Best Way to Do It

If you’re doing this solo it may take a while, and you really want to make sure you do it right. With a group it’s only 6 wipes total, but you really want to make sure you died the right number of times. There’s some other things to keep in mind, so here are the most important ones, courtesy of ptarjan:
- You don’t have to do it within the event timer, it counts after it’s expired as well.
- Follower NPC deaths do not count.
- Clear the trash with follower NPCs and then dismiss them if you can get the bosses down solo.
- Remove your gear so you can die easier!
- Get the bosses to the respawn point so you can die faster.
- Count that there are at least 15 tombstones on the left and right.
- When you’re at 31 deaths, wait for the bosses to go back to their starting points, then put your gear back on finish the event.
- You’ll get the achievement once you loot the chest.
Good luck with this very specific Feat of Strength! Don’t forget to count to 30!
