As the Escalation patch arrives, Blizzard are removing the buffs put in place at the launch of MoP Classic. The changes were meant to keep certain specs competitive before their latter-expansion tuning came in. Fire, Demonology, and Affliction are getting the nerfs, while all Hunters are getting an unrelated buff to the Capacitive Primal Diamond Legendary gem. Let’s take a look.
The week of February 3, with scheduled weekly maintenance in each region, we will remove temporary power increases that were made to some specs at the beginning of MoP Classic. This is a necessary step before we move to the next MoP patch, “Escalation”.
These changes only affect servers where the Throne of Thunder is active, and do not impact PvP.
